There's excitement written on everybody's face as the big day approaches. Nobody can wait to see what Santa's going to pull out of his bulging sack for them. For one little boy, however, there will be no exciting surprises. No flurries of shredded wrapping paper, no fucking glitter. Just a lump of cold, hard coal.

Trooper was a Super Junior Investigator! Ruh-roh.

[playerlist]
TheFireFaerie
Slightly Green
Goddess Jasmine
MaliA
KovacsC
Saturnalian
Alarm
sdg
Malc
kalmar
[/playerlist]

With 10 players remaining, it's 6 votes to put someone on the naughty list, and 6 votes not to. Today will end midday Wednesday.

Yay, I was sure I'd be naughtified last night, thank you for not lynching me yesterday :) Shame to lose Trooper though..

updating TFF's list from yesterday:

1 Grinch, 1 Goblin and 3 Good Girls / Boys out of:

Slightly Green
Kovacs
Saturnalian
Alarm
Goddess Jasmine

Slightly Green we're assuming is good as he threw Squirt under the bus. Could be an audacious Grinch though

Alarm and GJ are being a bit too quiet.

Kovacs voted the right way yesterday in the end, but was very quick to jump on a bandwagon against me, as was Zaphod and Saturnalian, that looks like teamwork and he's been on my radar for a while.

So I'll start the bidding for [vote: saturnalian]

Going to be busy the rest of the day so fingers crossed, I'll try to weigh in if I need to switch to another suspect to get numbers though.

I won't be around much today (or tomorrow morning). Do we know if there are any goblins left?

Let me update TFF's list correctly:

Slightly Green
Kovacs
Saturnalian
Alarm
Goddess Jasmine
Kalmar - The Grinch

So [vote:kalmar]

The only reason I didn't vote for Zaphod was because he hadn't said a word before he got lynched.

Except kovacs is good after all, so is off the list.

Saturnalian that's about the 4th time you've chucked about an accusation of Grinchery, so I reckon it's actually you.

Well right now we're at a tie.

VOTE UPDATE

kalmar: 1 (Saturnalian)
saturnalian: 1 (kalmar)

Not voted: 8 (thefirefaerie, slightly green, goddess jasmine, malia, kovacsc, alarm, sdg, malc)

With 10 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch, and 6 nolynch votes are required to not lynch anybody.

http://www.beexcellenttoeachother.com/counter/

We have;
Slightly Green
Saturnalian
Alarm
Goddess Jasmine
Kalmar

as un-vouched for. I don't think SG is bad, he had no reason to give up a goblin (unless he is the Grinch and this is all a cunning ploy...) I know I am good and am happy for Santa to verify that tonight (although I'd rather he rooted out a baddie).

I am happy to vote for Saturnalian, Alarm or Kalmar but will go with what Santa or the majority think. The only person I have been suss of is Kalmar, and it turned out he was defending a good guy anyway (Malc) so that's how good my senses are!

Have to agree with GJ above, am happy to follow Santa's lead or go for a majority decision as I am not sure about whom is a bad un. Kalmar is someone who I am still very Sus of though

I definitely am good, we went through this all yesterday!
Why would a badguy vote out two goblins, pass the parcel to two good guys, and, like, actively participate and stuff?
Pick someone bad, I want my pressies!

I have not investigated him, so draw your own conclusions. Soon, you are going to have to, as I fear I am out of bodyguards.

My thoughts: I thought Kalmar was santa (back when I said I thought I knew who it was), I think he might have picked up on that as he said some things that might be construed as clues to back that up.

Now when he started defending me I thought he had investigated me and that was why he was defending me, but that's obviously not the case now, so why was he doing it?

I'm not sure now

Malc

I'm unsure why Santa changed his vote, but I'm not a bad guy. I don't know for sure who is bad out of those he hasn't investigated; I'm also unsure if there are one or two baddies left, but we certainly need to get one tonight.

[cynical post]

I've just read through from Mali's claim yesterday, and he hasn't given us any information that a grinch/goblin wouldn't have. We have all just accepted that he is Santa based on the fact that he knows who quite a few good guys are (same info as the baddies would have).

He hasn't offered up any bad guy (Trooper gave us Zaphod) only good guys.

I'm honestly wondering if he's not in cahoots with Kalmar, hence leading the vote and then changing it.

Of course there hasn't been a counterclaim, but it might just be that the real Santa feels they have nothing to offer at this stage.

Probably all wrong, but just something that went through my head.

[/cynical post]

I think you used a particular wording, day 1 or 2, that convinced me you were good. I don't need to be Santa to have picked up on it, just an Good.

And as for MaliA, yes, two days he's led with voting for me, then switched to someone else once a little bandwagon started - presumably it helped identify Zaphod yesterday at least.

Hmm, I'm not disagreeing with you, with no trooper we will never know, but people, good people, are voting on the understanding he is Santa. Anyone of us could have been the one to vote when Zaphod did (assuming that is what you mean).

Imagine my frustration that everyone has been GOOD. I wanted two good and two bad bbefore saying HOHOHO so it is a bit of a poor show but a show nonetheless.

I'll vote for alarm. He seems to turn up enough to vote where the general consensus is going, but not enough to really contribute. Kalmar could be bad as well but the list of suspects is getting smaller so I'm sure we'll get to him eventually, I'm guessing by the numbers we are likely to get all them before they get all us?

Fingers point at Alarm, who backs away from the group of angry looking children.

"Stop, friends, what are you doing?
I've done nothing wrong, don't give me a shoeing!
I've been such a good boy, no naughtiness here,
I'm just like you, there's no reason to fear.
I just want what's due me, my presents and toys,
Like all you other good girls and boys,
Fun and frolics, playing in the snow,
I'm the best at making snowmen, that you must know!
What's this behind me, you ask, these bags full of boxes?
Why, it's just laundry, trousers and sockses!"

Too late, Alarm clapped his hands over his mouth, but by that point he'd quite thoroughly given himself away. Alarm was The Grinch

Night actions to me by 8pm Wednesday, please.
