I guess right now we're waiting to see what the special gifts gave out yesterday ?

Did Nick get a special gift? If I was a baddie I'd kill someone who got a special gift (unless they were a baddie also) unless I knew someone was a power role.

It looks like I was wrong about Nick, (and wrong about the other SJI, unless there are more than 2!) Still think I'm right about Santa, and I was right about Curio - Although I thought he was on Nick's team.

Only that I haven't gone back to see who won prizes and who didn't.

I'm assuming the prizes have worth and possibly give the winners a chance to find out who a baddie is (or who a power role is if a baddy won it) If that was the case, then if I was a baddie I would want them dead (unless they were on my team, or unless they "knew" who an SJI was)

Essentially what I'm suggesting is that perhaps one of the winners got told the identiy of an SJI and that's why Nick is dead?

On the plus side I totally lucked out with my prize

I was given a one off investigation and a one night immunity for getting added to the naughty list. Unfortunately I wasn't targeted by the grinch and goblins last night

However i decided to pick Squirt as my target for investigating and he has come back as a filthy Goblin. I am slightly worried that the result came back as a goblin, could I have been given a duff Christmas gift? Would all have come back as baddies? I honestly don't know. But with nothing better to go on I am happy to act on the information I gained over night

Major FoS on Malc here, assuming I was a bad guy then my present of a investigation was for use last night, I didnt get the results until the night actions were all done...so your so wrong.

The proviso of the present possibly being a dud is something that crossed my mind when it came back with a result, tbh i was expecting it to come back telling me Squirt was a normal Kid.

So one (or both) or the winners might be goblins/the grinch? Interesting.

Ha, I was just about to come in here saying that I have decided based on Nick being a goody that SG has no reason to seem suspicious anymore, then I read the rest and there's a bandwagon starting!
SG has made an accusation that could be a load of bollocks or could be really useful, very very suss that so many people are piling on.
What are the implications of him being wrong due to him lying, wrong due to a dodgy present, or right? I'm on my phone so can't check numbers or anything but I think it's important we consider all these permutations before we vote for him.

I can see where you're coming from here. The "dodgy present" thing does sound a bit like SG is setting up an excuse for later, but I find it equally odd that you and Malc immediately voted for him without any hesitation whatsoever.
I'd personally like to wait and see what TFF says about her gift before rushing into a vote.

It comes down to if SG is telling the truth or not, we could vote out squirt and see if he's telling the truth that way, but if SG is a baddie, that's what he wants and he knows he's next (or maybe he could argue that he got a duffer)

However, if we go the other way and vote SG off, then if he is a goodie then Squirt is next and we're at the same place anyway.

For me, the reason to off SG first and not Squirt are as follows:

1) The baddies would kill off the receiver of the gift to try and save themselves.
2) The fact that he mentioned the "duffer" as a get out of jail free card
3) If it's a baddie play then it's better to not go with it. even if it's 50/50 that he's telling the truth.

I could be wrong, but that's what I think.

Bloody hell, wish I hadn't mentioned the idea that the present may be dodgy. Stupid of me, just wanted to be totally up front with what my though process is. The paranoid cops we have encountered in the past just had me thinking.

With regards to me using it as a excuse, I am not planning on it. Would be nice to hear from the other people who had a 'gift' night action, to see what information they have.

If it does go down that I get added to the list today please remember who has piled on straight away today, they are all looking very suspect.

If the town chooses to use the information that I was given last night and it does turn out to be wrong then i will be lynched with out doubt, I will not try to use the dodgy gift argument. But Malc is looking way dodgy to me at the moment, look at his instant knee jerk reaction to my post. I ststed yesterday that I had a gift and would share it today, then when i do he comes back with a conspiracy theory that I somehow used the investigation to find out that Nik was a Super Junior Investigator and then being a evil goblin used the info to kill nik....that just doesn't work, How if I was evil could i perform 2 night actions using information from one of the actions, I am betting that Malc is Scumm of the highest order. Kalmar jumped on very easy also, so looks very scummy also.

Malc is now arguing that due to me saying that I am not 100% sure of the investigation results i was given, we should all vote for me, and when I turn out to be town we can vote off Squirt who has been pointed out as scum by that investigation, doing it that way around seems like the best result that the Bad guys could hope for as it gains them a extra night at full strength to off more of us good guys.

I don't think SG is bad, if he was, I think it is more likely he would claim the prize was immunity and keep any info found to himself. There is a chance he is bad and putting a goody up for the chop, but he'll be gone tomorrow if that is the case, dodgy present or not.

We still have the numbers at the moment, so I think it is worth the risk to find out and not worry about second guessing ourselves. I'm using the information in front of me at face value for now, until it proves false. We needed information, we got some, I vote we use it and see what happens.

Careful now. As I've been saying since day 2, the theoretical maximum number of bad guys is 6. It's well within reason for SG to be setting up Squirt, knowing that Squirt will be lynched and then another goodie will be taken out overnight. That brings us down to 12 players in total, with the possibility that 6 are bad. Game over.

That's why I'm urging people not to rush into voting. There's a chance that the bad guys can win it here and now.
We've got until Thursday, let's at least wait and see what TFF has to say about her gift.

I'd also like to hear more from some of the quiet ones - I have a sneaking suspicion that both Santa and the Grinch are in amongst that lot.

Personally, I would be very surprised if there were 5 goblins in the town, considering the size of the town to start with. I'd expect 3 to be honest, but I could be wrong!

Firstly, I suspected SG previously, and frankly his story just sounds fishy. I wanted to lean on him to see if it got more or less plausible. I didn't hesitate because after a straight accusation against squirt, I assumed everyone would pile on very quickly against him, and I think we need to be careful, I think this is where we either win or lose it.

Other reason to suspect SG is bad - he's gone for Malc, the same way Curio did (and me now for defending him).

And I know I'm harping on about maximum numbers of bad guys, but I'd rather be pessimistic and have a pleasant surprise than be optimistic and receive a rude awakening.

It might be that one of the presents introduced a new faction. Maybe SG is *different* type of bad guy. A cranky old money bags who wants christmas cancelled or something. I'd be surprised if there were no twists like that.

If anything, that's more ridiculous than SG worrying about his investigation returning false results.

I think I agree with Trooper, if slightly green is bad and has said squirt, we vote for squirt, then get sg tomorrow if he was lying.
If sg is telling the truth, we get a bad guy in squirt.
The other possibility is that sg is bad and suggests squirt knowing he is also bad, so we then get squirt and trust sg. So if squirt is bad, we should still be cautious.
I don't think we lose too much if sg is lying since he will be the obvious choice tomorrow.

The main question bouncing around my head now is how come Kalmar is so defensive of Malc? Also why did both jump on me when I stated that I know from a one off night action who a goblin is? Yes I said that there is a small chance that the info may be flawed, but that is probably me being paranoid, but if it is wrong then I will be lynched myself the next day 100%.
