After Effects plug-ins. I was looking at something yesterday in the Red Giant sale that could be used for that kind of thing.

The second one is the really obvious one.

Got back from some Xmas shopping. Bloody hell!

Food court was packed. They had removed some of the shared seating area in the food court to fit yet more outlets in.

Found a quiet corner and began to eat and was asked to move. Apparently this area was reserved for customers of a snooty coffee joint despite being in part of the shared area housing about 20 different outlets.

I protested, pointing out my tray had the shopping centre name on it but was asked to leave the area, the barristesta barraista coffee gimp not accepting there was no signage saying I couldn't.

I called the man a communist. This made me cross because I should have called him a fascist. :attitude:

My flat top count today has risen from virtually negligible when I got up to a full on zombies v mummies 90%.

I would probably just have moved on a 'normal' day but if i'd been braving the mad throngs of people out there i'd have asked him to go and get a manager (and then probably finished my food while he did that).

Well, on the 22nd the GREAT CHRISTMAS DRIVING ODDESSY begins again.

bradford to buxton is the first leg, then Buxton to Truro. Then Truro to Stroud. Then Stroud to Bradford.

760 miles, according to google. £94 in fuel.

I hate Christmas, I'd stay at home if I had my way.

If it'll make you feel any better, I'll stop off and borrow your gt4 for the trip.

EDIT: It'll probably be a lot better for "Hit the ton as youc ross the bridge into kernow" tradition than the Ka is.

Clearly you need to hit 88mph as crossing the border instantly throws you back to 1955.

We're running a competition to win an iPad mini.

If you're on Facebook, visit our Facebook page, "Like" it and then share the competition post to your pals to enter.
If you're on twatter, visit our profile, "follow" us and then retweet the competition tweet to your twitter timeline.
If you're on Pinterest, visit our pinboards, "follow" us and then repin the competition pin to one of your boards.

If you're on more than one of those, why not do more than one of them? Gives you more chances to win.

I have descended from the mountain and returned home. The living room has strange women in it and they are drinking wine whilst straightening their hair. I check. This is my house. I politely ignore them, as I suspect a trap.

I saw one of these today. Shame the decreased size hasn't reflected in the price.

Apple shops are odd places. I came to think what would an Amstrad or Sinclair shop be like.

Of course an Amstrad Shop would be Alan flogging stuff out of the back of a lorry as he is reputed to have done outside Hi-Fi fairs in the 70's (he rocked up in the car park and would just flog his gear uninvited).

A Sinclair shop would just take your money but there would be no stock. Like Argos but stuff would never arrive (so like Argos before the days of the stock checking thing).

I don't think they particularly enforce it if it is, I've seen loads of other local companies doing similar things in recent months.

I'll check it out though :)

Headline of the week, from ThisisOxfordshire:

Jesus causes uproar at darts contest

Quote:
A LABOURER from Abingdon was escorted out of a darts tournament because his resemblance to Jesus was causing a distraction.

Nathan Grindal, 33, was watching the match between world chamption Phil Taylor and Kim Huybrechts at Butlins at Minehead in Somerset when people in the crowd began to chant “Jesus” at him.

Mr Grindal, who has long hair and a beard, had to watch the rest of the match on TV in a nearby bar.

No room at the darts Jesus...you'll have to go to the bar.

Dear peoples,

I am currently embarking on a Youtube "series", which I will pimp thusly:

Games from the Chippy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvBshWrk ... O4&index=1

Due to a larger-than-normal apathy gland, I have a habit of getting tired of doing things very quickly... So If I can get the views/potential audience up a bit, maybe it'll give me the kick up the arse/incentive to continue.

I have a "shortlist" of about 40 games that I remember playing at that place, so this could theoretically last a while. And then I could continue with arcade games I played at the pub whilst my mum propped up the bar.

So if you like the look of it, spread the word a bit. Cheers.

QUESTION: I have an XBOX. Old Man Afterthought has an XBOX. If I take Dark Souls down with me, can I save my progress and pick it up again when I return? Thanks.

If you have an XBOX360 - and they are both running the latest dashboard then yes you can (in a number of ways - one of the easiest is if they are both online and you save to the cloud but you can also put your profile and the save game onto a USB stick which would also work , if either is an XBOX (not 360) then they wont run the game , if either is running a very old dash then you dont get cloud saves or the ability to use USB sticks)

It was the 80's. Everywhere had a JAMMA cab or a fruity back in those days, at least around these parts.

None in the chip shops where I grew up , but we did have a local amusement arcade , and there were cabs in the leisure center , and a few shops (presumably a lot more in pubs but I was too young for those)

And these would have been pre-jamma

Certainly my local chippy had at least one cabinet for years. Ideal for killing a few minutes while you waited for your food. :)

During my Warwick university years living in Leamington Spa I was addicted to the chicken and chips from Royal Fisheries, just below the railway bridge. It was almost a Cartman style addiction. Anyway, they had Metal Slug, I'm not sure which but I think it was the second one. Fed a lot of 20p's into that one!
