So, you match animals as fast as you can to build up your attack and defence scores and then fight an opponent who was doing the same.

I can't stop playing it.

I do not know. I don't even know if you can actually choose who you play against - I've just been playing random matches.

On iOS it will let you play against 'friends' but only ones your linked to on gamecentre

I played randoms and won my first 10 games , then started to lose so i guess its got the ranking stuff set reasonably although the first few games i lost i have no idea why - i had reasonable defense / attack just suddenly lost a chunk of health

I won my first five before it paired me with someone about 200,000 places above me in the world, at which point I got my arse slapped upside down and inside out.
This is extremely addictive.

The matchmaking for friends games seems to be missing a section on setting things up - you go into the invite page - hit the name of the friend you want to invite and then it just sits there - I assume it pops up a message on the other persons phone to play but all you see is a 'inviting' page which sits there - you almost want a chat or communication window beforehand so you can arrange a time

Ah, I got an invite but I was working. I suppose it's a real time game so yeah, tricky to make sure people are online at re same time.

It seems to have built in unfairness. Last game it always started me with exactly the same shit board each round?

Your opponent has the same board.

Really? Are you sure?

I have some rounds where I get destroyed even though I had a crappy board, I don't see how the other dude could have tripled my score on it?

Ok , so what am I missing?

Like everyone, I won my firsdt half dozen games with no problem.
Now I can't win a single game.
Last game, round 1 I got around 100 attack and 50 defence, the first few shots hit each other, then they started passing and hitting the avatars, as I assume both defences were taken out, however my shots didn't make any damage. My health went down by 75%. Second round I got 100 attack and 50 defence again, or near enough. Exactly the same thing, my shots did no damage and I very quickly died.

What am I doing wrong? 100a 50d seems a reasonable total for a round?

Quite possibly, but the difference is too great, no chance both sides have the same board IMO :)

I just came up against a person on his 6th game, 5 games played, 5 game winning streak. And would you believe it, each round was giving me multiple chains and multiple bombs and I destroyed him... The same thing happened to me when I was that 6th game player on the other side at thge start.

No way we both had the same board, and I'm questioning how random it is...

Or they hit lucky with the random match animal card

Given things that are on the board at the start (like the black & white thing / the boss / the heart) seem to come up for both me and the other player I think at least the beginning is the same even if there is some randomness after that ?

Whats your best scores - if your way off everyone else that might also explain it and the answer would then be as Curio put it "Try sucking less"

My stats right now (iOS)
Best attack 152
Best defense 107
Chain 11
8 winning streak
5 losing streak
rate 1670.4
23 battles
world ranking 315512

Mine so far -

Best Attack - 257
Best Defence - 127
Chain - 14
Winning Streak - 11
Losing Streak - 1
Battles - 22
Rate - 1710.7
World Rank - 41643

It's not a bad little game, but it's a shame it has all the micro-transaction stuff - I'd rather just buy the game outright.

So your attack / chain stuff is better than mine - you could just have been unlucky in the people you've played - i know i've played quite a few where i'm just hammered by the end of round 1 and have no way of making things back up.

And another thing. I play on the train, which has very patchy internet connectivity, i've had a few messages when I first start the game as to having no internet, but once connected and in a game i've never had any sort of message or delay or anything to say that internet is down.
The last game I played, it finished when I was in a tunnel, yet still managed to complete the round? How does that work then? It can't preload all the rounds as it has to wait for 30 seconds each time before starting the next round.

I think your correct in that the first few rounds were all on the same board for both, and hopefully it should be expected that we as a collective, by virtue of our past gaming history and experience, should get through those unscathed. But then I figure it turns onto random boards. It is extremely rare these days for me to be in a game where both people have the same "effect" tiles used on each other.

I think I just had a run of 9 games on the the trot where I had awful boards.

I've not found that an issue in the slightest. The only thing you can buy is more CP can't you? The longest I have had to wait before being able to start a new round is 2 minutes, I can handle that.

Possibly we could test this by having 2 people with compatible devices start them up side by side - or get someone to play a game and at the start of each round grab a screenshot of the layout ?

Maybe it runs the same board for direct challenges between friends, and random boards for random challenges?
I don't think you can direct challenge on android though, can you?

There are a few other power-ups you can buy if you scroll the shop down. The CP thing doesn't really suit the way I play games on my phone I guess - anything that takes up the full screen (so I can't see texts and emails etc) means that I tend to play in one session rather than dipping into it like in Wordfeud/WWF, so I tend to play two or three games of this and then I'm waiting around.

On the plus side, I'm up to a rank of 19,253 for the moment. :)

Ah yes, forgot about those. I still have virtually all of them from the start left still! I generally use the red wine one.

How do you use them ?

I have the red wine one selected but its always greyed out - do you hit it in game / between rounds / does it need charging up ?

You can only use the wine on the boss, I think. It makes him go away.

The brush sweeps the mud off the tiles, and I forget what the other one is.

The other one is a tile scramble - however they are all greyed out for me - and if i go into the shop they are buyable (69p per pack) - I dont seem to have any so presumably have not earned any through the game ?

(this is on iOS it may be different on 'droid)

Ah , now those I do have - I've only used one of them since i tend to grab a few minutes to play one or two rounds then leave it again so when i come back I always have 1 or 2 points to play.

I don't believe that the first few people it throws you are people at all. It's practically impossible to lose unless you shut the app.

Certainly doesn't take much to undo your good work on this game. I was in the top 10k for a bit but three losses later and I'm back at 17012. Lost 33 of my 93 matches now :(

Anyone still playing this?

My rank tends to hover round the 5000-20000 mark, but if I come up against anyone in the top 2k, I usually get slaughtered. From playing it a fair bit, it has a heavy reliance on the chaining - if you don't get a bit lucky with keeping a chain going, you can easily be defeated in one round.

New stats -

Rank - 6789
Win - 157
Lose - 102
Draw - 1 (We wiped each other out first round :) )

Attack - 681
Defence - 602
Chain 30
Winning Streak - 11
Losing Streak - 5

I'm still playing , the mad bosses are quite fun but it really likes trying to throw you 'buy upgrades' which I've not done - it does mean that you can get 3 games in every time you fire it up

My stats (iOS) :
Rate : 1735.1
Total 195 battles
World Rank 339220
Win 104
Lose 91
Draws 0

Attack 255
Defense 193
Chain 14
Winning streak 8
Losing streak 6
