Should be good. I couldn't get past the.. phhh.. third(?) mission of the Amiga version because dividing my attention between four different viewpoints in real time meant instant death for all.

To be honest, I much preferred Space Crusade to Space Hulk as a computer game...especially when there was a race against time as the vacuum spread across the ship.

Oh, I think I'll give that Space Hulk a go.

Surely they could make a killing with an iPhone/iPad version too.

Verily.

Now Xcom seems to have legitimised Turn Based Gaming again (for some of us it never went away) might I suggest to these lads that they update Chaos Gate and Final Liberation.

Like NOW.

I don't know if this website has been mentioned here - http://www.thetitanmanufactorum.com/ - but they make Titans on a 40k scale. 2 foot tall and about 7 pounds in weight! Also : spendy.

They make Warlord titans. Also guardian knights. Forgeworld is where it's at for Warhounds, Reavers, Biotitans and Eldar gayness.

edit: bloody hell they're of really shoddy quality too. Certainly not comparable to BOLS one. Dakka Dakka is full of people doing better jobs too.

I've been playing Disgaea games the whole time. Love turn-based.

This talented kitbashing bastard makes me green(stuff) with envy. Look at page three for some literally awesome Obliterators.

Ooo, there is some nice stuff there.

So are these all mods from different bits of other models (I assume they all are)?

Has anyone started using 3D printing for these things yet? A quick search tells me you can get 3D printers for just over a grand now (although the 3D printer specifically for chocolate seems to be the most expensive at 2 and a half grand). At those prices I'm sure some well heeled hobbyist with model making talent must have one.

If you want a good read, one man's descent into madness trying to replicate the BOLS Warlord Titan is always good.

Yeah, adding bits from different places is a kitbash. Not entirely fair as he has amazing greenstuff talent too.

A small Japanese company has started to produce a small CNC machine which I'd love. 3D printers aren't fine enough in detail yet for We. Too much rough stuff.

I have a small 3-axis CNC machine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJJ3gYG ... ature=plcp It can do 3D too.
Toying with getting an additive plastic printer, we had one at work until recently, but you're right the resolution isn't great. Of course you can fettle it, for example by painting with acetone, but you tend to melt fine details doing that.
BTW: I am planning to print out some bits of beex minecraft world at some point.

I've tried.I suspect I need some kind of vacuum chamber to stop the bubbles forming. Mixed success.

For FUCK'S SAKE. Just managed to get my beard trapped between the two halves of this mould. Didn't noticed until it was halfway cured. I've got resin in my beard. and my resin has beard in it.

You might want to save a few quid back, Z. Piecing together the jigsaw image from the last three Forgeworld newsflashes gets you this:
Attachment:
forgeworld.jpg

That right there looks like a Death Guard Deathshroud Terminator to me. Never further than 20 paces away from Mortarion himself, them, so sounds like he might be the next Primarch. Bit of a shitter as I'd bought loads of bitz to make my own shroud :S

Dark Angels are the new miniatures this month from GWVanilla. They've always been my favourite Imperial Scum due to their Dirty Secret.

Shiny.

Have you tried it yet? Looking forward to hearing about your endeavours. Always kinda wanted one but been put off by the noise and ventilation issues.

Loving 'The Flight of the Eisenstein ' btw

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Just read past the part where they've virus bombed the planet and Garro & Co have just slipped past Typhon into the Warp.

Haven't actuially ran paint through it yet, but it's pretty quiet. Main noise is from the rattling of whatever you've got the compressor on top of.
