It's more like this:

Perkies leaves his 30 storey high apartment block, much earlier than he should have to, to ensure that he gets onto the first subway train that arrives and not the second, third or even fourth. In his backpack, developed at a cost of millions by mountaineers and explorers for The North Face, he carries a blearily made lunch, laptop and textbooks. He's already looked out the window and checked the weather forecast to choose an appropriate coat and shoes. (NB: it hasn't snowed in Toronto yet) Cramming onto the overcrowded subway he is squashed all the way downtown where he then is squashed again going up the escalator to the street where he forgoes the streetcar (also jammed full) to walk to the college (sidewalk also jammed). If he's feeling flush he goes to Tim Hortons (the college has two) where Consuela gets his order wrong yet again, and then goes and sits waiting for the teacher to open the classroom at which point it's voice off time.

The largest and hairiest things I see, apart from some of my fellow subway passengers, are the squirrels and dogs on the street.

I don't know if there's a sign for eh, you'd probably just fingerspell it.

Your version sounds like more fun, though.

There is a strong case that the ears are the only thing that is right.

I can't help staring at the Husky Mascot's eyes. They seem to be staring back at me, boring into my soul and looking upon my most secret thoughts and desires.

Hurrah.

How goes the learning? What's Mrs Meaty doing?

The learning is going okay, though we feel the material has run out of steam a bit as we now need to work on building our vocabulary and practicing and so some of the other parts of the curriculum are dragging a bit: for the past four weeks we've been describing interior locations and the arrangements of furniture. We've done other stuff too but it's taking too long to move past this bit.

Mrs Meaty is job hunting!

We need a Perkies Forza night soon. Nobody should assume that just because I am currently in Halo the whole time that I wouldn't jump at Forza like a shot.
