I live there!

We did a ghost walk last year, was pretty good! And the Castle Museum seems to cover everything! Have they still got that Sixties street thing?

Yes they do, though that was probably the bit of the museum that we passed quickest through. I absolutely love the main part of the museum with the old shops. They had people serving in the shops and each one had a little 'thing' that you could purchase, be it liquorice root, bar of soap, etc (always something small and inexpensive).

Was really lovely :)

Sounds lovely Meems. Not been to York since I was a kid and I was bored stupid. Think I'd love it as an adult though. :)

as he didn't say 'degrees', it must be Kelvin. Watch out for the pools of liquid nitrogen and oxygen!

Pretty much everything bar helium would be. Just on the border for hydrogen, I think.
Remind me never to go to Canadia in winter. Sounds too cold.

I did mean Celsius, though for some reason most of the ovens I've seen here work on Fahrenheit.

:S

When I see a news report on US TV in Fahrenheit and see '82 tomorrow' I think of Mr Bean's Diary where he goes into the temperature conversion chart and labels the temperatures from 'Brrrr' through 'mmmm' and 'nice' to 'ouch', 'sizzle' and 'DEAD'.

Just had about six inches of snow overnight, drifting to eighteen inches in places. Spent a "fun" three quarters of an hour shovelling the car out so my wife could take our daughter to a playgroup, only for the damn thing to be cancelled when she got there.

At least I've done my exercise for the day, I suppose.

Today is looking like it'll be the last nice warm day of the year, a high of 11 dropping below zero tonight. Forecast for the weekend and next week is a high of about 2, with snow starting tomorrow morning.

Such is the way of these things. An enormous rainbow coloured mass on the weather radar looming over Lake Superior a day or two ago.

Yeah, only de-iced my car once this year so far. (Apart from last Jan/Feb! *snort*).

Just been nice and crisp when I've been out and about.

Holy shit, it is icy today! Walked out the front door and almost pulled it off the hinges as I slipped on the path. The road up the hill was like an ice rink so i had to nurse the car up there and ignore the knobbers coming down. I think I'll be walking to work from now on.

EDIT: There's been a car crash at the bottom of that hill, and there is a fire engine there now, apaprently.
