I've just realised (long after everyone else) that when I'm thinking about something, I'll start rhythmically tapping with my fingers - hitting my mouse, my desk, my keyboard, whatever.

Apparently, this is annoying.

What do you do?

When describing something (object, person or even a situation or event) I wave my arms around like a crazy person. In normal conversation, I am able to control my arms.

Also, I snore, but I can't help that.

Craster snores, too.

See?

Snoring. But only some nights.

I tend to walk around when on the phone at home.

I don't feed the wheel anymore.

I snore like someone who snores. You snore like ARMAGEDDON.

How is snoring a habit?

My bad habit is that I've got one leg shorter than the other.

As Im sure some people.here are aware, when I hear music or have a song in my head, I will unconciously tap along to.it.

Doesnt annoy me, mind.

Could be worse, mind. Ive heard of someone who when thinking would batter his desk with a ruler as loudly as possible.

Because.

I put the noise "err" in front of sentences some times, which annoys me. I don't know if other people even notice it.

Like Mr Dave, I'll tap along to any song but that's just because I play drums.

I do this.

I also do the finger tapping thing.

And I have very jittery legs.

And I bite my nails.

And I pick my nose.

I have more. I'm basically a terrible bundle of nerves and bad habits.

Yeah, thats where I get it from too. Particularly bad for people below if the floor is shite snd the foot tapping csn be heard from below.

I bite my fingernails. I do this in a kind of self-grooming style way though, where I only really do it once every few weeks or so, when the nails are getting comedy long. I'll give them all a damn good gnawing in one incredibly satisfying sitting and have nice short fingernails again.

I also whinge at my girlfriend every time I feel I've had to go too long without sex, thus making her even less inclined to put me out of my chaste misery. This happens an awful lot, enough to call a 'habit'.

I pick at scabs, not so bad right now as I'm not skateboarding for the time being but yeah, can't help it when there's a good one.

I can't stop murdering people.

I'm fairly sure I've got a mile long list of bad habits, but as they're all unconscious I don't really notice them. They don't irritate me.

I count, as one of your bad habits, breathing.

I'm terrible for this.

For instance, I just stopped gouging at the ingrowing-hair-wound on my neck to write this. Fucking things - I stopped shaving because of the last two lumps I got sliced off, only to have the fucking beard trimmer yank one out a couple of weeks back. All three in nearly the same place.

Still, at least my eczema's in remission so I'm not clawing at that constantly. Though the fungal infection on my elbows is making a resurgence, despite cream.

Quite how I got a fiancee (without holding one hostage, I mean) I have no idea.

I've been known to pull out nose hairs in public.

Just your own I hope.

I pick my nails rather than use a pair of nail scissors ( or, indeed, bite them).

Lately I've been repeatedly licking my brace despite knowing that it's not going to fall out without me noticing, and it makes my mouth taste of metal.

Also, I will mime or even air conduct as I walk down roads listening to music on my IPod.

I bite my nails except for the index finger on my right hand, which I keep up to an inch long. I use this to pick at the hole at the end of my winky while in public.

I have a bad habit. I stole it from a nun, and it's really poorly-made. The stitching is atrocious.

Wow I do everything on this thread, other than the winky thing and the nun thing.
