I think we are going to end up with a DJ, all other options are proving to be too much faff, too much money or not quite right.

Very very much, yes.

And her music.

So what do we think of poppygate? Dude got arrested for posting a picture of a burning poppy on facebook during the 2 minute silence.

Personally, I think it was a horrible thing to do, but he had every right to do it if he wanted to. Arresting him for that? I hope the irony isn't lost to the police over the principles people have died for in service...

Not very "metal" to be sure, but I'm inclined to agree, having been force-fed such music, kicking and screaming, at the hands of Mrs C.

I now like it... time and a place for everything, mind. Can't say I play it in the car or when going for a run, but, y'know.

Nah.

I'll take a good band over 100 DJs personally.
Can't beat a live gig/live music IMO.

This day off has been a waste. I nearly would rather have been at work.

Heh, true. I like the Christmas stuff mostly. In fact I got into him (as it were) due to mistaking his version of white christmas for being the awesome Harry Connick Jnr.

We had a DJ and a Band.

And a Gospel Choir (service) and a solo singer (before the wedding breakfast).

So there.

@Throughsilver On the plus side, you may be in with a chance of starting a new bits n bobs thread?

Teacher just told chatty bimbo to STFU and sit on her hands (to stop her babbling questions in sign).

The one I started in the past seemed pretty arduous going for people. I think it was the longest B&B ever.

My route home passes a deaf school and a fair number of the kids and young adults get on the same train carriage as me every so often.
Fuck me are they noisy! :D I was expecting lots of waving and little noise, but that is certainly not the case :)

Go back in time, and post in it more often?

In general, bands > DJs.

At weddings, DJ > bands.
