Me again, chums!

Well, what a week it's been, eh? I think it's worth starting this week's show off with an immediate round of applause for the master wordsmith himself, Mr Nervous Pete, with his frankly Pulitzer-worthy coverage of Tropical Storm Hurricane Sandy Toksvig and the impact she's had on the US Eastern Seaboard this week. Pete, your depth of knowledge on the subject and your writing skills are an honour to behold.

Plenty of other things to talk about this week! There's been a fairly solid bickering session fair and frank exchange of views regarding the state of reporting in the videogames industry, The shock revelation that George Lucas has sold Lucasfilm to Disney, Grim... has decided to look even more of a twat than usual, so give him money, and Curio became a published writer!

This week's crop of POTW nominations is a fairly healthy one:

Cavey bemoans the effect of winter on an Englishman's home defence
Grim...'s boss learns not to ask him to do things
zaphod79 helps Davpaz compile the Nickachu World Weather Report
metalangel and Doctor Glyndwr train to protect Canada's precious natural resources from voracious foreign predators
BikNorton brings his fearsome powers of observation to bear
MaliA plans his future
Craster thinks back to happy times
Curio makes a joke that almost nobody will get, but those that do will giggle like schoolgirls
devilman gives us all a target to aim for
GazChap puns his way through Hallowe'en
Joans is left in the dark again
TheVision helps keep Pod's spirits up

Thanks to the contributors - Grim..., MaliA, Curiosity, DavPaz, Mr Russell, Bobbyaro, Zardoz, Kern, and Goddess Jasmine

That's it for another week folks! And it's an hour late because something something clocks change something forum time something.

Is Cavey's frozen moat is the first ever two-time POTW winner?

If I was using a lever to raise and lower a drawbridge over my moat, I'd want something with that much leverage as well. Can't say I blame him.
