Danny Baker's show cancelled by the Beeb

His twitter feed : https://twitter.com/prodnose

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-20165756

Quote:
DJ Danny Baker has hit out after being told his daily afternoon show on BBC London 94.9 was being axed, likening his bosses to "pinheaded weasels".

"Just been told the BBC London Show - the Treehouse - is to be shut down," he tweeted. "Saves BBC money apparently."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2012/no ... -show-axed

Quote:
The Sony award-winning presenter took to Twitter to criticise the decision, telling followers: "BBC asked me not to say anything just yet about axing best show on British Radio. Why? Because it's embarrassing? Because they'll look bad?"

I've got a latent dislike of Danny Baker, but I'm not sure why.

You appear to be confusing Danny Baker with Russell Brand.

No, there are a multiplicity of unfunny wastes of carbon, and sadly I can tell their misshaped lumpen visages from each other.

BRITISH GAS CAN FUCK RIGHT FUCKING OFF.

Here is a list of things you shouldn't fucking do if you run a national major pissing gas company:

1) NOT turn up for 2 different appointments that my landlord made, causing him to just wait around in my house for hours whilst he was in the middle of trying to move to australia
2) NOT update the account with the contact infomation my landlord give you when he does actually move to australia,
3) NOT turn up at all for my appointment on the first of fucking november, 8am - 1pm.
(I'd been deliberatly not playing any loud music, wearing headphones, playing games etc incase I miss the doorbell. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME)
4) NOT, when called at 2pm, say "he's still got the appointment with you but he's been delayed. He'll be with you in another 2 hours or so" (EXACT WORDING, more or less. Especially the 'still has the appointment' bit. THE GUY ON THE PHONE DEFINITELY SAID THAT OUTRIGHT FUCKING LIE. )
5) NOT TURN UP DURING THOSE PROMISED 2 HOURS
6) THEN WHEN RANG AT 5PM YOUR NATIONAL COMPANY SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT SAY 'yesterday at 8pm the engineer left a message on the answer phone of <landlords old, no-longer-exists number which he rang up to tell you to change from> saying the appointment has been changed to 20th december, 8am-1pm"
7) NOT think that the home phone number, something you require the customer to type into the shitting robots that answer the telephone service centre before you pass them onto a real human, should be a decent point of contact for the cocking house you're about to go and visit, is a better alternative to an answer phone (note: I agree than leaving an answerphone message is the best you can do if that's all you've got, ?BUT IT WASN@T ALL THEY HAD)
8) When asked "Is there any guarantee that the engineer will even turn up then as well? Or will he just ignore that date?!" say "yes, we'll put an note on the account to say 'don't cancel or miss, very important'." (I asked if the engineers even read these shitty notes, and apparently they do. WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT, as I imagine every account will say this exact thing?! What use is that message. "Don't fuck this one up for a fourth time, Bill")
9) NOT have any bloody appointments until december the 20th. (I might not even be able to make that?!)

I mean: WHAT THE UFCKLNG FUCLK¬!:K!£E??

How can your appointments process be so shittingly awful that a) your best guess is a 5 hour window and that b) you can't even answer the same quesion with the same answer at 2pm and 5pm when the answer to that question was decided at 8pm on the day before and available on the system. The first guy even said "hold on whilst I get the infomation" and knew the whereabouts of the sodding driver, just as the second one did. ONE OF THEM IS LYING TO ME.

How the fuck can this company even exist with such a hilariously bad level of service.

I'm too enraged to work out the logic of it. Please correct it for me.

I might be in a dead man's shoes situation at work. As a result, the "Reign of accountability and terror" could become "Reign of terror", as the accountability bit seems not as enjoyable.

Sadly, looks like half seven starts next week as five has become two in less than twelve months and I've got fucktons of stuff to do. So; maybe a week monday then.

Several jobs look good elsewhere; too.

Heh, reminds me of when I was in LA waiting at the bus station, a friend of mine had to go and cash, so was walking around looking for a cash point and a police car picked him up and drove him back to the bus station as he'd been eyed up by about 5 dodgy looking geezars looking to relieve him of his money!

The good thing about the end of the month is I get to spend a doing 'career develpment' stuff. or reading about Dark Souls. There's more jobs about now than there was a while back, which is good, and hopefully it'll be a bit easier on me this time. But the clock is ticking, 8 weeks until contract ends and I've heard nothing about its renewal yet.

Yep. It's pretty much the same as the Xbox version, but I don't remember it being as difficult to control?

Still ace though! Get it!

Would I have any trouble downloading Skyrim with a US code (I've got a US account, but it's a PAL machine)?

Ed: ah, as I understand it, it should be fine, except that any DLC will have to be bought with a US account also. No problems there...
