Ok so I'm checking my emails and this pops up. There is a copyright claim for one of your videos, Beyonce Best thing you never had Lyrics on screen.

"Best Thing I Never Had", musical composition administered by:
BMG_Rights_Management
EMI Music Publishing
One or more music publishing rights collecting societies
UMPG Publishing

We sometimes get them when using stuff thats copyrighted but in this case I know its bollocks and this is why.
Cue videos (contains sound effects from Berzerk.)

In case embed doesn't work
Normally I don't bother fighting these but in this case (unless they mean lyrics and there are thousands of lyric videos) I'm going for it. Does putting lyrics up on screen but not including the original music or anything that sounds like music constitute a copyright issue.

This is my response.
All audio comes from the arcade game Berzerk (both German and English versions) and a bit of speech from children in need. Apart from the lyrics, it does not use anything from Beyonce Best thing you never had.

Sounds like they're saying that you had lyrics on screen, and you are saying you had lyrics on screen.

I would say that lyrics are well copyrighted, based on the fact that the writers of songs get massive royalties.

Even in liner notes, lyrics are officially used by permission of the publisher. Actually, even on official band sites, you're skating on thin ice, despite the band having written the lyrics. I'd say in this case you're shit out of luck.

Thanks for that everyone, I thought it would be just audio but it looks like lyrics as well.
