There was a guy on the news not long back who decided life was too hard, and gassed himself inside his car. Except he'd brought his two children along with him.

nyn - there was a guy on the news recently who killed himself and his two kids because he couldn't get custody of them after his divorce. Nice, eh? "If I can't have them no one can".

I can't comment on killing your wife; that could very much be revenge and almost justified. But there's no excuse for killing children.

Whatever you think of the spammer, regarding the murder of his wife and toddler and the wounding of his teenaged daughter who has also lost her entire family as a 'happy ending' is just plain sick. I meant his original offence. The Inquirer article seemed not to be particularly bothered that he took out his family, but was pretty joyful that a spammer criminal scum had been wiped off the earth.

IMHO, some of the Maddie posts did indeed go too far, but no one said they were glad she was kidnapped, which would've been the equivalent of what that news story did.

In seriousness for a moment, I have to try very hard not to pay too close attention to some of the more awful news stories of the world, because if I do I become rather empathic and far, far too angry. I'm sure this isn't good for me so I try to pay little attention to the things I can't change.
