Pistachio Risotto, actually. You do not want to fuck with my pistachio risotto. Especially now it's been approved.

Stick me, you and Bobby in a room for a weekend and we'd have a smash hit sitcom.

Sister's getting married tomorrow, got me suit together and stuff. A real snappy grey number from a fancy Oxfam clothes shop (cue long winded Beex arguement about charity shop admin costs vs. profits) that top-trumped the department store stuff I was planning on getting. I look good. Going to take my Yashica along with two rolls of B&W film too.

Bordeaux, Chablis and honeymoon money for lil'l sis and bro-law too. Man, I'm going to be poor this month.

I am a bit pissed off though, I ordered a new t-shirt, another one for my dinosaur tshirt collection, last wednesday, it hasn't bloody turned up!

I had been planning the Oz trip for about a year, and I've been "ready to go" for a while now, just had to make the final push, and since there are sod all jobs in the UK, why not!

Good luck with everything.

Do they have Emo's in Oz, they're normally a decade and a half behind aren't they? You could be a trend setter!

Ah yes, the Huntsman Spider. I well remember those, as an 8 year old in Oz (we emigrated there in 1973 :D ... before coming back to the UK in 1976 :'( ).

They're not venomous but they do give a nasty bite, apparently. As kids we used to try and find 'em lurking in the shadows underneath mobile classrooms, caravans and the like. They're fecking quick, mind. 30mph spider anyone?

Australia is simply *made* for 8 year old lads, what with stuff like this, along with all those awesome lizards, giant ants, massive bullfrogs and all the rest. Happy times. :)

Have a good trip mate, give my regards to Melbourne if you're headed that way.

On the spider topic, MrsChap texted me earlier and said:
Quote:
Have you just bought another sodding tarantula?

Perplexed, I responded in the negative, and asked why the question.

Quote:
Because there's two of them in the box.

So, my tarantula has shed it's skin. That's a yay, because apart from a couple of crickets a few weeks ago, she's not eaten anything for the best part of a year (bear in mind they're supposed to eat 4 or 5 large crickets a week) and as moulting can be a very dangerous thing for a tarantula if it's not hydrated enough, the fact that she's apparently shed her skin successfully means she's still healthy. Woo.
