I am going to break with my snarky internet persona for a couple of minutes here just to say thank you to everyone involved, especially the organiser and head chef for obvious reasons but to everybody else too... as somebody who doesn't really consider themselves a "people person" it was wonderful to feel so welcome and at ease among a group of folk who in the main I really don't know all that well. When you consider how many other cool people weren't there for various reasons who could only have made it even better, then we really must be pretty awesome for an internet messageboard. Amazing scenes!

It is no exaggeration to say that the cottage is generally the highlight of the year, and this year was absolutely no exception. You truly are the greatest of people, and thanks so much to all of you for a properly fantastic weekend.

I'm now ruined. I've had barely 3 hours sleep a night for three nights straight, I've drunk more in one weekend than I think I've drunk in the preceding 12 months. Everything aches ( ) and I can barely put together a coherent sentence.

I sang it to myself with my stopwatch running and got 14.3, but decided I'd probably sung it too fast and rounded up to 15

I really struggled to stop myself crying when you and Grim... drove away this morning.

Was feeling a bit tired and quiet this year, but enjoyed just being around people. Didn't want to drink much, but tried to have a couple of drinks last night.

Got back home about 1:30. Went to buy some wool on the way home to cheer myself up.

Have the Rev Owen Memorial Hat back on its stand. Someone went home with our supper We owe Grim pizza money.
