I'm on a telly site where you need to have uploaded a lot more than you have downloaded, as is fair. Previously, I have always managed to get a 300k downstream or thereabouts, with about 80-90 going back up, so what usually happens is an episode of, say, Fringe will take about 20 minutes to get to me and the same evening I'll have shared it back.
Now, I never get more than a couple of kb upstream, and only then for a few seconds at most. The site is no help, trotting out the usual shit about trying different torrents and so on, but these are popular series, latest episodes of south park, etc... and there's never been a problem before. My uTorrent gives me a green tick for connection, my crappy Thompson router has the incoming port utorrent uses set up for "game and applicationm sharing" with the correct ip address for my mainbox. Still, nothing uploads in any meaningful way.
Sometimes the green tick becomes a yellow triangle, but it doesn't tell me why, just says no incoming connections, but it is all set up to alow them and I'm not changing anything from attempt to attempt.
What else couod this be? I'm running out of credit on the site and can't get any more shows until I resolve the problem which they've been very unhelpful with.

Is that with TheBox? I have the same problem. I suspect I'm being traffic shaped by my ISP.

Suspect its your ISP they are all shaping Torrents these days as they don't want the legal hassle.

I'm in Virgin media and I haven't noticed my torrents being shaped.
