Let's try putting this is the right forum...

Tokyo Jungle
Dog simulator for ps3

I'm not sure if I like this. I think I do, but I seem to be able to find more negative things to say about it than positives.

Reasons you may like this game:
It's not particularly like anything I've played before.
Can be surprisingly strategic. Each game will give you a series of challenges to beat. Generally three per block of ten years and it requires a certain amount of planning to meet.
Or on a smaller scale, in managing to unlock the latest animal, I had a rather strategic confrontation with a crocodile which had spawned next to a flag I needed to piss on. No way I could beat it with one golden retriever (I did have two, but one died when I first found the crocodile - see thoughts on how much the camera shows later)
You like dog bumming

Reasons you may not like this game if you're a big silly:
It's budget. Like, say, Demons souls it's a risky idea and so didn't get a huge amount of money put in. So it's not particularly pretty
You're rather expected to die. Like Dead Rising, Dark souls... you will die. It's built into the way the game works. (Because, frankly, no matter how much protein a pomerainian eats, it's always going to lose a fight with a bear.)
-When you die, you'll keep the survival points (currency to spend on stuff) you've obtained, any items you've unlocked will be available and if you've met certain criteria (so far, generally bum two dogs, do two challenges and kill a boss animal or take over a territory owned by a pack of animals) then you unlcok a new animal of excitement. So far: Dogs.
-First game I got killed by a cow. It was quite amoosing.
-It doesn't do overly much to explain itself. Many things will remain a mystery until you either figure them hout or you look them up.
-There is a map, but apart from telling you where nearby animals are it's not particularly useful (Except for when it doesn't). It certainly rewards learning the map.

Reasons you may not like this game:
Controls. When fighting, you need access to four controls: Movement, attack, fatal attack and dodge. For some reason they've put dodge on the right stick and attack on the square button. This is daft when both triggers go unused. Also no camera control.
Lighting. Occasionally, it will go dark and you can't really see anything. This isn't very much fun. Even when it's not like this, the view you get feels a little restricted. When your map becomes useless, this is a real problem
Clones. After bumming a dog, you get a new dog and depending on the quality of dog you bummed between one and three identical looking dogs. In the middle of a crowded fight, it's rather hard to tell which dog you are. Particularly when fighting another pack of identical looking dogs.
Also, sometimes after bumming a dog, you'll wake up to find there's no food around at all. If early in the game, this can be decidedly not good.
You don't like dog bumming

I can see people really rather disliking it. Conversely, I can see that it might become compulsive to people like Zardoz who are very much into dog bumming. Me? I don't regret spending 10 pounds on it, and I'll probably get a fair few nights of fun from it, but as it stands I can't see me remembering it as a classic

I like the concept. But when I watched a video I was disappointed that it was set out like a side-scroller. Still gonna buy it, though...

Finally a game about dog bumming. It sounds awesome, for some ungodly reason.

Hey, did anyone notice that PSN are doing Pre-Order Downloads? Resident Evil 6 is up on there.

What the hell is going on here?

Tutorial ended with me bumming a dog. I was a dog too, by the way. A bloody vicious golden retriever as it turned out. And expert arse sniffer.

I like this already.

This sounds brilliant. I wish I had a PS3 now.

This and Noby Noby Boy and that other awesome game where a little white bar slowly fills up over the course of several hours... yeah, it's selling me a PS3 too.

I haven't turned my Xbox on for a while now. Fack all interesting on it right now while PSN has some real quirky gems to catch up with.

PS home. Don't forget that.

But feh, there's enough reasons to get one anyway, even if Dog bumming games aren't a system seller.

My Pomeranian is a nasty sod. He's killed rabbits, dogs and cats bigger than him. I was do confident he could now one hit kill most animals he could have a go at that pack of lions.

Turns out a Pomeranian wouldn't stand much of a chance against a lion despite clinging onto the lions arsehole with his teeth. Who knew.

I've unlocked cats now.

And a deer.

I genuinely thought I'd clicked on the 'pets' thread and could only see that last post.

Which was interesting.

I thought mt pomeranian was invincible. Until I fought a herd of cows.

I think the most recent animal Ive unlocked is a jackal. I hope for some non dogs soon.
