Kissyfur, please sell me the Lord of Change wings, it's proving to be a right cunt finding them on eBay.

Nah, straight from GW. I ordered it in a mad rush when they announced it on Twitter. By the time I found the cheaper price I couldn't cancel the order  It had the word "limited" on it. Mm. *nods*

Fucking lovely moulding. Their plastics have come on leaps and bounds in the last few years.

I only went for the normal version, it was £10-15 more for the ltd and you only get that Chaplain extra don't you?

Are they all multi-part miniatures or are the smaller ones single mouldings?

Is there a little flexibility in how they can be moddellelled?

Chuck me a couple of quid for postage and it's yours.

Got to the decal stage of my Academy Bell P-39 Airacobra kit last night. The smaller decals seemed very brittle (maybe I was being impatient but the larger ones were fine  ) as I had three break apart when I slid them off the backing sheet. Managed to salvage them though.

It's taking me bloody ages to get this built, the end's in sight though now. Pics by weekend, hopefully.

Yeah, I think it's a hobby better suited for bad weather.

Oooh, that reminds me I've still not tried those metallic paints yet. Might start my MiG 15 next then.

Have you ever bought a WH40k vehicle? Must be much more bits to assemble than the miniatures.

You never fancy building Airfix etc kits?

The thing to decide now is whether to go with the fluff for Dark Vengeance and paint them as Crimson Slaughter, or go with my gut and use them as Alpha Legion.

I have had similar thoughts, but not of the Alpha Legion persuasion.

I'll have plenty of time to decide as I don't have mine yet. :'(

Fuck it. I'm going Alpha Legion. There's simply not enough minis to represent them, and the horde of cultists just screams it out to me.

What is this Dark Vengeance thing? I was looking on ebay for some terminators for Space Hulk and there's a load of Dark Angel terminators from this "dark Vengeance" thing all over the place.

Week Friday sees the release of the new ltd Horus Heresy novella Brotherhood of the Storm. Looks like The Black Library have hit on an new extremely fair way to be able to get a hold of a copy. No more deliberately DDoS attacking your own website, at least.

There's an overwelming amount of placcy goodness in that Dark Vengeance set. Really nice detailed minis like you said, Dimmers. Looking forward to slapping paint on that Hell Brute.

I have a few grumbles with it. First off is that of the six Chosen, one mini is repeated. I can't think it would have been extra hassle to make sure each was unique. :( Also some of the sockets for the clip-together bits ruin the line of the details in several of them too. Arms too bulky, loincloths running into the legs, that sort of thing.

Very nice this one mate. Unusual planes those. They look like modern trainers or light aircraft.

Thanks mate, yeah I love the shape of these. I enjoy doing a little research on each plane I build, pretty unique how this fighter was designed to accommodate the cannon, that's why it's mid engined.

Airfix new tool BF109 next, this has an open cockpit and open engine cover option too. :) :nerd:

Hmm, didn't realise quite how dark those pics have come out, I'll have to fix those.

Heh. When you build the models and put the pictures up, I enjoy reading about them on Wikipedia.

Haven't got time to read that this mroning, but I'd posit it's something to do with the Imperium basically being The New American Century.

Well, true, and given what some of them did to make their own entertainment I'm guessing the US Army must be shipping out boxes of 40k.

The base idea I had for my Great Unclean One has got off to a rather good start.

Dimrill, show some pictures of stuff, you must have something finished or interesting to look at.

Last night I fixed the base coated Great Unclean One onto the customised base I made for him. Looking well so far, even if I say so myself. Not long to go now. Even had time to base coat the two white metal plague bearers I have too, over the weekend. AND I remembered I was half way through a Revell SE5a so I did a little more building on that too.

Been bloody ages since I've had time for my hobbies, really enjoy tinkering about.
