Hello!

I have many to suggest, but I'll start with these (all for Chrome, but probably available for other browsers):

Invisible Hand If you look at a DVD on Play.com (say), but it's cheaper on Amazon (say), Invisible Hand will tell you.
Autocomplete On Some fucking websites are up their own arseholes and think they can say that your browser isn't allowed to save your details. This tells them to GTFF.
Add to Amazon Wishlist This lets you add any product, from any site, to your Amazon wishlist.

What do you use, Beexers?

Backspacemeansbackspace — stops the fucking awful behaviour of backspace sending you back a page. I've lost so much form data because of that nonsense.

Readability — strips pages down to just their text, laid out nicely, so you can focus on reading them in a comfortable manner without all the shitty distractions.

I don't really use that many any more.

Evernote clipper.

Great for adding web pages or parts to Evernote.

My own little bit of javascript that stops a certain stupid forum launching external links in the current browser window, and forces them to use a new tab ;)
Couchpotato IMDB addon, surf IMDB, see a film you like, click the button on the page and wait for it to turn up on your HTPC.

That's it.

Try middle-clicking instead, it's easier than buggering about with Javascript.

Code:
var a = document.getElementsByTagName("a");
for (i=0;i<a.length;i++) {
           if (a[i].className == "postlink") {
                  a[i].target="_blank"
   }
}

Save it as a .js file and add it to your chrome extentions in developer mode.

You might have. On mine there's an excellent shorcut where you move the mouse pointer over the link with one finger and then tap on the pad with a second finger and it sends a middle-click command. It's really handy and it's what I use for controlling this stuff when browsing on my laptop.

Be aware that that will change every link on the Internet.

Both for Firefox:

FlashBlock: stop any Flash content from auto-playing and puts a play button on it instead.
Download Statusbar: Replaces the stupid big Downloads pop-up with a bar that appears/disappear as required at the bottom of the screen to show progress of any downloads and is very configurable to behave exactly as you'd like.

While browsing a fairly innocuous site at work, I was offered the chance to meet 'local slags'. That was when I decided to use adblock.

Indeed, it will make every link on the internet correct.

Cor, that's clever. I wonder where they got the idea for that sort of thing.

If you are posting a link to another website, I want it to open in another tab.

Note this doesn't affect links within a website.

Yes. That would mainly be because I was completely wrong, and it will only affect links with the class "postlink".
