What a day! I've played a charity gig today with my dads old country band. I didn't know any of the songs, I just turned up and played and it turned out alright! Everyone seemed to have a good time and they raised a lot of money for the childrens hospital in Birmingham.

Also... I won the raffle which was a massive hamper.

Also.. I found a fiver in the car park.

That's a good day all round I reckon.

That's a very good day, I've been looking for that fiver for ages.

I thought it might have been yours now, if you could just describe it then I'll get it sent on to you.

Is it alright if Myp has it first?

Probably not (done here for good), there is talk of me coming back (which is fine as long as I get some time at home and the visa sorted out) and doing some more projects. It's not been bad, in fact quite enjoyable. I've been thinking of putting together a long rambling post together about the experience but if I do I'll put it in the member area as I'd rather not have something like that in a searchable public forum.

/dons tinfoil hat.

Just had my boss pop in and it seems they want me back on the 24th September, which is a bit of a nay to be honest but at least it's work (and money, well it would be if I got round to sending an invoice anyway).

Today, Griff has been officially suspended from the transplant list as his liver looks like it is recovering!
They will re-assess him in 4 weeks, and he may need to go back on if he is not thriving enough, but it is a huge step for the little man. With any luck, he may even be allowed to go home to wait, for the first time in 4 months!
Yay x lots!

If that were Flis, she'd be driving around her island on ehr way to destroying another car. Followed by "Fucking tractors!"

Just spent an hour interviewing Steve Von Till, from my favourite band ever: Neurosis. Not only did we talk about their new album, but because FACT is doing an albums of the 90s thing, we also discussed Through Silver in Blood.

Utterly beyond buzzing right now.

Stupid yay, but...

I just grabbed a handful of raisins. I crammed them into my mouth, but dropped one. It landed on the top of my foot, so I quickly flicked it up into the air and caught it in my mouth.

This has made me far happier than it should.

I AM INVINCIBLE!

Made me feel strangely happy. :S

A fairly minimal Yay! compared to some recently, but after optimistically putting my name on the local council allotment waiting list about 4 years ago, I've just been given my plot! Five whole perches of prime veggie growing land!

Not quite sure yet! :D Looking for a decent "How to make an allotment work" book right now. Will probably start with boring veg, but would love to get some fruit - raspberries and strawberries and gooseberries. And peas. I can eat fresh peas from the pod all day.

Great stuff Squirt.

Now it'll only take another 10 years for the other Allotment holders to accept you and stop mocking your every move.
