I have been playing this lots on iOS, but only the US map with mega routes, all the other maps I find a bit crap in comparison.

haven't played it on IOS, but on the board games, the US one is good, the Nordic one very good and the German one is good, but the 'passengers' aren't so good. Playing with friends helps a lot.

Was anyone aware that the life cycle of the fly is 10 days at 25oC and 21 days at 18oC.

Probably just out of practice. No need for him to work at it, what with all the trolly dollies he's banging.

Not sure the phrase, "larger-than-life" really applies to a space ship.

I just wrote an email to a friend and gave him a six-fig grid reference rather than the usual link to Google Maps. Ah, if you have to do something, might as well do it properly.

It wasn't Shadow of the Beast, but I remember my Dad playing a horror game based on a Stephen King(?) book on the first night he unpacked the Amiga and the sight of a zombie running to the front of the screen kept me awake for weeks. I was only eight, after all, and the graphics were way better than anything our old BBC Micro could produce.

It was thanks to that Amiga pack-in and the acoompaniyeyinginyg bad film that led me to the book. Which is now one of my favourites. True story.

My nephew did quite well in his GCSEs. SO I'll be hearing about that ad infinitum, then.

EDIT: IIRC, his parents were going to give him cash monies as a prize per grade. I think it just got expensive for them.

My dad's wife promised to buy me a new bike if I got my gold merit at school before a certain point in the term. When that point came, she asked me if I had got my silver. Which I had. Boom. Sucker. New bike.

The range of "Congratulations on passing your exams" cards isn't great. There does exist "Enjoy your prom" cards, though.

Yes, Demonoid was good. h33t has been recommended, but I'm unaware of anything comparable to Demonoid. Demonoid.
