That Rodwell transfer is interesting. Big fee. Evidently talented player, but unable to get in the Everton side regularly, will sticking him with better players improve him?

Budweiser realise that it is going to be difficult to promote the first qualifying game due to it clashing with the olympics, so throw a shit load of money at one team in an attempt to gain headlines, and interfering with the very basis of the sport. Cheeky cunts.

He can pick a pass very well when healthy, he's still only young... and he is now a midfielder with a lot of potential that Man U can't buy.

We lost, but on the positive side our manager isn't a massive arse, and also Liverpool got thrashed by WBA.

1-1 draw in the first game. I'll take that over a loss any day. Still doubt we'll get promoted however.

Even being a Villa fan can't dislodge Liverpool as the Prem's most hated team.

Liverpool are hilarious. Great value for money. They genuinely go into each new season expecting to win everything. Mentalism at its best.

:this:

Football's largely dead to me now, still there is some strange comfort to know some things stay the same, and Liverpool being dreadful would appear to be one of them.

Partly what they all said, but also my Dad is a baggies fan, who raised me as a Villa fan, so I have a soft spot for 'em.

Do QPR want to sign any more players. Seems like they've signed at least a whole new team this transfer window.
Losing 5-0, I know let's buy dawson and loan carvaliho.

Hughes is to my mind in the same camp as Bruce: Buy as many players as they can cuck 'em together and see if it works.

There's not a tactical brain cell between them. QPR would have been better off sticking with Warnock.

Indeed. The uproar when City ditched Hughes for Mancini gets funnier with the more hindsight we get.

We've had Huddersfield fans apologising for drawing last night. By all accounts O'Driscoll has us playing like classic passing Forest. Everyone is very chuffed who has been to the three games so far. Bolton on Friday though, be interesting to see how we perform against a team capable of frustrating our newfound attractive methods, as we're doing well to be getting as much right as we already have. Still, if they want to play pretty football as well, it'll be a good advert for the Championship.

The man next to me at work is very ha[y with Forest. "Best League position in 16 years" he said, in between eating a whippet and muttering about Lancashire.

Wednesday have gotten off to a good start, which is pleasing.

That is awful too, though mostly as they've got the usual club colours in that stripe across the chest, and it wouldn't have been half as bad if it was all the same colour.

Last night though, you felt the players were embarrassed to be wearing those!

Deadline day... Coppinger and Billy Sharp.

That'll do nicely. We could still shore up the defence a little but I wouldn't want to face our midfield and forwards.

Blackburn rovers are now Portuguese youth team by the looks of it. I don't understand why kean even bought goodwillie if he was never going to play him and then just send him out on loan.

He heard Goodwillie liked to scrap in city centres.

And he is called Goodwillie. Brightens up any team sheet.

Arry has a new job, apparently. He'll now be dispensing information out of the driver-side window in the Bournemouth AFC car park.

Also: Ireland are currently losing to Kazakhstan, which is a lol.

My prediction: Groves lasts another 10 games max before they give him the boot and 'Arry gets the manager's job. He can smell that Russian money a mile off.

Harry's a decent manager but he's no O'Driscoll. Didn't he have a right cob-on about directors of football in the past? I assume he'll ascend (descend) to a managerial position shortly.

In other news, John Pemberton is set to leave Sheffield Undead and return to Forest as part of O'Driscoll's coaching team, which is phenomenal news. For the first time since 1995, there is not a club in the world I would rather support, in terms of where they are and what they are doing.

4 game ban and a fine of 220k for terry.

Isn't the FA undermining the UK court thingy, or am I looking at it wrongly. If he was already proven innocent (even though he's a twunt)
