I'm looking to buy an exercise bike as I'm going to be unable to run for up to a year and although I'm not mad keen on cycling I figure that if I can do it while watching telly then it might be a good way to try to stay fit.

Trouble is I'm struggling to find much good info on them. I'll probably spend about £200 or so. Does anyone have one they'd recommend or things to look out for or whatever?

I've seen this one at Amazon and the reviews seem to indicate it might be ok:

That one is great!

(Seeiously though I don't know anything about exercise bikes. It's probably a good one, though!)

Have you tried a rower? I had a water rower for a while and it was lovely, I was just too idle to use it. I find rowing much more interesting than exercise bikes for some reason.
They really hold their value too, so if you don't like it you'll easily be able to sell it for the same price you bought it for on ebay.

Yeah I already have a rower and quite like it, but cycling is specifically recommended as rehab after this operation I just had.
