Interesting, Sky are making moves towards a PAYG model for people who are happy streaming their content. I imagine they've run the maths and know it's worth it, but I'm surprised they're willing to risk losing people that currently pay a shitload of cash just for football or F1 or whatever.

I suppose if you just want one match, it will get folks like me that only watch England Rugby so about 8 (not on BBC) matches a year..

About fucking time. I've always said it. If they make it easy to access and high quality, people will pay a couple of quid to watch a football match.

Hmmmm... £15 a month for unlimited. It's a step in the right direction, but will be entirely dependent on the content available and how soon after release, and how often the content gets removed, and DRM etc...

I do have some morals around this and would be willing to pay £15-£20 a month for a service that is equivalent to what I can get for free via the yar brigade. I doubt this will be close, but it's a start.

My attitude is pretty much the same in terms of the TV we download. Currently I can download HD stuff easily and quickly the day it's shown and watch it on a range of the machines in my house (i.e. Windows PCs and the PS3). Give me that and I'll be more than happy to pay you a reasonable amount of money for it. Anything else is of questionable value and, sadly, not very likely to happen I don't think.

I love pop music, and I suppose this one isn't too bad, but I'd just prefer not to have it in my brain right now.

I might have mentioned to my London based magic circle lawyer friend that next time I'm doing the music quiz she's got to come. She appears to be under the impression that it is a music quiz, but I'll make things happen once she returns from Italy.

I agree. Pop music is awesome, but I don't think this is in the same league as 'Crazy In Love', 'Reach', or 'Confide In Me', etc

But yeah, it's better than 'Reach' and 'Crazy in Love' because I never liked them. I always preferred Amerie's '1 Thing' to the latter, and every song on Rachel's second album to every SClub song.

'Confide in Me' is fucking brilliant, though, and I have a lot of time for 'Put Yourself in My Place' too. I should really check that album out.

I too love the Amerie song, and think it has the superior sample in it, but it was the most blatantly copied song ever from the 'Crazy In Love' blueprint. Not that it's a bad thing, but still...

Close.. I put my sock on and felt something scratching my ankle. I felt my sock and there was a lump in it so I rolled it down and out crawled a confused looking bee..

I pulled my sock off as quick as I could and shook it out the window in a blind panic to get rid of the bee.

It was quite a surreal moment especially when I was as tired as I was.

Similarly the other week I kept feeling a tickling in my sleeve, ignored it then felt it again but a bit further up by my elbow so I scratched vigorously then forgot about it until I noticed that my elbow was now all soggy. Fearing the worst I rolled up my shirt and saw bits of a massive and mean looking spider all smeared around. Felt sorry for it and also really quite sick

When I was a kid (~5/6), I walked to school and kept trying to scratch my foot by stamping on the floor - walk was at least a mile. When I got to school, I took my shoe off as it was still itching and there was an enormous stag beetle crawling around my foot! I have no idea how it managed to fit in my shoe with my foot as well, it was about a 1/4 the size of my foot!

I only killed the spider because I thought it was just an itch, not an alive animal.

I was at the gym, and rubbed my face with a towel after a session on the stationary bike. The towel felt a bit weird. A little damp?

I once put my shoes on, and in one of them was a baboon. I didn't notice at the time, and man did I feel stupid when I took my shoes off again at the end of the day and it leapt out, chittered angily at me, and ran off.

Mrs Grim... once drove from her flat to her university - a distance of about two miles. The engine was "making odd noises", and when she parked and got out she could still hear an odd noise. Fearing the car was broken, she did what everyone does and decided to look under the bonnet, even though she wouldn't have the first clue what she was looking at.
As she opened it up, a cat jumped out

I can get to the music quiz for half six plus however long it takes to get there from Kings Cross, and I can catch a midnight train home, but then I can't do the last 16 miles home. As walking abeside a canal for 16 miles at half two in the morning probably isn't a gereat idea. I could get a boat....
