If you like fun medieval strategising then Crusader Kings II for £8 is a definite must. It's more about ruling your dynasty in a Game of Thrones way than taking over the world. You can be in charge of a small counthood or dukedom or be a King or an Emperor. The small kingdoms are more fun, to be honest. The game is like a crazy story every time you play so failing miserably is actually quite fun. Well worth a look.

It's a bit baffling at first to be sure, but you don't really play it to win in a Civ sense. I've got it pretty figured out now. Give it another go in't evening. :)

My points card turned up this morning and I only got the one that I ordered. :( They must've just been throwing these things into boxes for Grim to get twice as many as he ordered.

Jagged Alliance: Back in action is half price in the Steam sale. It got slated in the press, but I really like it.

But, you know, with four.

I sort-of tempted to get in touch and tell them I've only had one.

Mount and Blade: Fire Und Sword is only two bloody quid on Steam at the mo. It's a shadow of Warband, but still good.

That actually looked intriguingly good value, I was on the verge of ordering... then I spotted the publisher :(

In future can people posting bargains here please mark any EA stuff as "not suitable for Alberto" to save me getting my hopes up please.

I hovered over it, and then thought twice. I have enough mediocre FPSes in my collection still to finish.

The original Syndicate was EA, wasn't it?

I'm not sure if you can cancel before the offer finishes, chances are you can, if you can be arsed sitting on hold for an age and repeatedly saying "No, I just want to cancel".

Enjoy ;)

Spec Ops: The Line is £16.65 delivered on 360 and on PS3 from Play-Asia this week (compared to £29.51 delivered from Tesco using a code! ;)). So rare to see a competitive price from Play-Asia since the £ collapsed, so colour me surprised. It's fully English (or French or Spanish if you prefer) and completely region-free on both systems, but you probably won't be able to trade it into a UK games store. :p

Not sure whether this is a bargain or not (actually, no) but I don't know where to put it otherwise.

There's a new Xbox app on the dashboard called "sales and specials". It's nothing special apart from a way of grouping all the sale items together but at the moment there's a mini game where you scratch the screen with a virtual coin and you may win a prize.

It's free to enter so it's worth a try.
