I have new drugs! This time for "post-nasal sinusitis". I can tell they're proper drugs because the pharmacist and the instructions both ordered me to stay out of sunlight for the duration.

How can you have sinusitis after your nose?

The fuck?

That's what Mrs Grim... was taking while we had the BB2. The pharmacist didn't tell her to stay out of sunlight.

Fortunately, she guessed (and it wasn't that sunny), because it has happened to her before, when she got super-sunburnt.
Her fucking eyeballs were burnt that time :spew:

I've had stuff where I was warned to stay out the sunlight but it was explained to me more that high volumes of sunlight would be more likely to cause cancer while on the medication (and the mediciation was only to be used in the winter)

(It would also weaken the skin so i'm sure sunburn would have been a side effect as well)

Dunno about sunlight but my (leather) watchstrap and (shitty manmade) lanyard are starting to really irritate my skin.

What not to give to someone barely managing their eczema: drugs that make the skin super-sensitive.

Oh well, nuddy in the office it is!

I had a quote of £10 per month for life and critical illness cover.

When I was clarifying the details with them my scuba diving came up. Fair enough.

I have been honest and told them I don't know if I will do it again in the future - they put the premium up to £15 per month - understandable.

But. Not only will my life insurance not cover me for diving, I won't have critical illness cover at all either.

Tldr; premium goes up by 50% for a risk that they won't cover me for anyway. Erm...

Ouch. That's a bit harsh.

Scuba diving (although stupidly over regulated) is doesn't have too high a mortality rate, though?

No, not at all and I wouldn't be bothered if they didn't cover me for it as I don't dive in this country and always take out the extra cover in my travel insurance. I can't understand what the extra money is for if they are reducing the cover.

It's their loss tbh, I'll do some shopping around this weekend.

Right, MrsA's gone out into Leeds with two of her work friends (Throughsilver, take note, both of her friends are really quite fit). I'm really hoping, like last time, she'll come back after they've decided she wasn't wearing enough make up. I laughed like a drain when she walked in the door with tide marks, metric fucktons of blusher and bunches. It was like a sex doll gone seriously wrong. Apaprently, laughing was a bad thing to do as "I had to get the train and two cabs like this".

Went to the pub to see my friend J last night. Had I left the house 90 seconds earlier, I wouldn't have been caught in the thunderstorm that drenched me. On entry to the pub, as some of you already know, I had the sort of reception that should greet me every time I enter a building. A table of women cheered, as I looked like a diet coke man.

After Fanny's we went to the Boat House, (I saw someone who works in the same place I did, she had a friend with her who clearly fancied me, oh to be 5 years younger) and this is the view over Robert's park from it:

We had many nice beers and then I got home and played the aeroplane game until MrsA came home and then I had to speak to her instead of strafing AA emplacements around factories. Stupid MrsA.

Camping is off due to weather. Instead, we've booked into a cottage a couple of hours away. Should be OK. I can watch BSG Series 2 and drink some Saltaire Beer.

Hell, yeah. £180 for three nights in the lake District. I wanted to go to Ibiza, but having to take MrsA with me bumped the cost up too much.

Double lols!

Mrs Bulge is heading off to South Africa for two weeks next week for a safari trip as part of her degree course. I'm gonna be all lonely and stuff. At least I can crack on with finding a training contract (or more likely, a job in McDonald's) and playing vidyergames. Also, why do my results have to come out mid-July, and all of the application deadlines are at the end of July? That gives me a week or so max to send applications off with my results on! I'm currently filling out applications with the intention of sending them on results day. That'll do it.

Side question:

I recently failed an interview for a summer placement scheme. They sent me a rejection letter offering written feedback. I responded with my own letter kindly taking them up on their offer (I genuinely thought I'd knocked it out of the park, so I'm very keen to see where I went wrong), but two weeks have passed by and they haven't replied. Should I be sending a second letter? What should I say? Don't want to be a pest. But they did offer! Was it an empty gesture?

Chase them up! If they've offered something but not done it, I'd chase them.

Clearly if you thought you'd done really well at the interview and you didn't get the job, then the feedback is vitally important.

It was optional and self-funded! She's studying Animal Management, with the intention of becoming a vet or at least working with animals in some way.
