The day before yesterday, like a chump, I left a parcel on the train, and the helpful chaps at Southern called up all the manned stations the train was going to and got someone to grab it and keep it for me until I could grab it.

I tweeted northern rail about train times back to Bingley. They replied within a minute.

The woman in the haberdashery today was ace as we talked for ten minutes on the best stuff to make sheep from in the shop and it came to less than £6.

I e-mailed a problem to Blackberry support at work and they replied after three minutes to confirm it was fixed.

A Finnish crockery manufacturer replaced a faulty mug after a one line e-mail I sent while drunk and in fact sent me two for free, from Finland, within a week.

HP picked-up my PC by courier, fixed it and sent it back within a week of reporting a problem with the motherboard. Also free of charge.

Sometimes they can get it right.

I'll give them a plug. It is Iittala.

I have Taika mugs which have Owls on them. They are best.

Nice, I love Iittala stuff, my wife's family are Finnish so we've got a growing collection of it that we get sent for birthdays and Christmas.

I had to shout at O2 business customer services today after they had told me three times that they'd sent an iPhone we had ordered, and then ignored another order I'd sent in. I got the usual crap from the phone droid, and then when I shouted at his boss they've sent the second phone free of charge!

Not a bad result in the end, though I'd rather have had the phone a month back.

I've had two dodgy DS' replaced by Nintendo's customer service folks, despite my lacking any sort of proof of purchase whatsoever. These failures were over a year apart.

Phoned Sky this morning at 11:30 to report my phone line not working. By 2pm an engineer had been out, been down a hole in the road, and fixed it. Impressive work Sky/BT!

Ordered an expensive bottle of wine for my Dad for Father's Day. Accidentally set the address to send it to as y own. Called up Slurp and they very quickly and easily changed it for me.

And then, it would appear, failed to cancel the delivery to my house. So we both got the bottle of wine, but I only paid for it once.

Result!
