These photos made me smile. It's pleasing that Sooty is no longer owned by a massive corporation, instead being bought for loads of cash by the bloke who took over from Matthew Corbett.

Richard Cadell helped Justin Lee-Collins do his magic act for his Channel 4 show where he had to go to the USA and take part in a magic convention. Seemed like a really nice guy and helped Justin put together a really splendid act for someone who hadn't done any magic just a few weeks before.

Matthew Corbett described him as "the closest to a Corbett you can get," so I'd say the future of the character is in safe hands.

I'd assume that the future is on the BBC, given that they are talking about three entirely separate new shows, and that's more than ITV would do in three years.

I'm not usually a fan of JLC, but that show was one of the best things I've seen in a long time. He had total respect for what he was trying to do, and it all look impressive for someone who had only had a few weeks training.
