I'm sure there must be a simple answer to this but I can't find one.

I have an application that only plays sound when it's the 'active window', as soon as I click on another window or my desktop or whatever, the sound from that application is muted.

I want the sound from that application to play at all times, be it minimised or in the background or not active or whatever.

Is there a way to do it?

Cheers.

That sounds to me like a badly written application, (or at least something that's hard coded to behave that way, like some web pages that stop loading when they lose focus, presumably to prevent adverts and whatnot being skipped)

If it's stopped playing, it's because the application is programmed to stop playing when it gets a windows message saying it's lost focus.

So I'd imagine there's little that can be done

Oh well that's a bit pump then, I thought there might be some way to force it in Windows.

Cheers for the answers :)

What is the application? Can you not just use a different one?

Saw this on the mobile site, which doesn't show the thread starter or subtitle, and assumed it was another "Malc's stayed up drinking" thread ;)

I'd be interested to see what threads you think I have created whilst under the influence!
