It doesn't have a horn, fewl - it has a whistle. It goes about 9mph, which was about the same speed as everyone else. And my dad builds them as a 'hobby' (although that one is an original), so yes, I come from a line of traction engine drivers (although, technically, that's a Road Locomotive and not a traction engine), but not a long one

I can't afford the money or the time involved in looking after a steam engine, but this is mine. Me and it'll be at Cavalcade in Rushden in May if anyone wants a ride

I sadly don't have any pictures myself, but I had a fairly big WTF moment a few weeks back when I got up on Saturday morning, went to get the papers and found the local WWII re-enactors ( and some chums ) where having a bit of an open day. Members of the 82nd Airborne and the SS wandering about, as well as a few members of the SAS anti-terrorism squad.
