It's a slippery slope! First dogs will want to get married, and then homosexuals, and then mixed-race couples, and then where would we be?

New Years is clearly a stupid time to make resolutions, as it's cold, dark, wet and everyone is broke and hung-over. Therefore, I suggest we make this upcoming Early May Bank Holiday Weekend "Spring Resolution Weekend". It'll warmer, dryer, people will have more cash and lighter evenings and a three day weekend to kick start their getting fit and eating more veggies. I'm going to make this a thing, and see if I can get some of those "Big Society" bucks that are getting handed out.

How do we know that artists who are dead were left handed? They could have done their self portraits whilst looking in a mirror.

The brush strokes and the way the paint lays on the canvas. It's actually quite easy to tell from the brush pull.

The Odeon in Milton Keynes is a great cinema these days. It has been there years and has been owned by pretty much every cinema chain going, it was even an EasyCinema at some point. It used to be one of the biggest multiplexes in the country, with its 10 screens. The rest of The Point had a big arcade, food shops and a nightclub and was pretty much the epicentre of a night out in MK.

15-20 years later and The Point is an utter shithole. The centre of the building is barriered off and empty, the nightclub is a Gala bingo hall and it is where the emo's go to hang out and make sure they are seen to not care about being seen.
The cinema foyer itself is rundown and broken, it doesn't even have a ticket office, just 2 automated ticket machines and a concession stand staffed by uncaring workers. Yet, the screens are all digital screens, the seats are comfy with lots of leg room, and while the screens aren't the largest, the auditoriums are small so you sit a lot closer. Best of all, it's such a shitheap from the outside, nobody every goes there. 7pm on the first night of the new Avengers film and there were no more than 30 people in the place.

I love it, it's much better than the new Cineworld multiplex over the road in the Escape building.

Daily Mail website. They've already stolen most of them from other people so it's ethically okay.

On the contrary, I think there's no finer example of a car crash than looking at her face.

The good thing about working weekends is I get to car share, so every second weekend I don't drive. This saves me £120 a month. The bad thing about this is not being able to follow my own schedule. Needed to get to a bank machine this morning but ive been sitting waiting twenty minutes to get picked up. frustrating! He's usually really prompt as well. Ah, just got a call. Running late. I knew I should have nipped out to a bank in my car this morning. Bugger.

Rooster's Yankee pale Ale is another one I can't drink now. I had two pints of it yesterday and my nose is streaming this morning. I'd love to know what the ingredient is in some beers. More testing required.

Perhaps proving a stopped clock is right twice a day, Marina Hyde makes some good points about Brand appearing to tlak about drugs at a parliamentary commission.
