As the person who was on the receiving end of last week's noms, I wholeheartedly disapprove of this 'one click nomination' option. It's impersonal and it allows MaliA to go hog wild nominating every last thing that makes him chuckle.

Ahh, but with a higher attendance, wouldn't you also get more spent at gift shops and food & drink concessions? It might be worth taking less money at the gate to make more sales of £45 replica shirts and £5 pints of beer.

German clubs are currently doing well from packing out stadia by selling tickets relatively cheaply.

I don't know exactly how well, and do know that the Prem clubs make the most money (championship is the seventh 'biggest' division in Europe), so ymmv.

Surely it's also about gaining an edge over your opposition and the potential dividends that brings. If Boro were filling their stadium every week we would probably have had better home form and wouldn't be relying on Cardiff to get beat on Saturday in order to grab a playoff spot! Gain promotion, get the money rolling in again.

But that's just speculation of course.

According to the Beeb, we're on 67 points and Cardiff are on 71. That's that, isn't it?

Yeah it's wrong, Cardiff are on 72, Boro 70. But Cardiff have mega goal difference do they MUST lose and we have to win. Don't look good.

The Sky Sports one is right. Us on 70 and them on 72.

Looks like the Beeb haven't added the last round of results to their table.

I find it hard to believe
-Where's the microphone? Given the way it sounds- particularly the breathy quality of the voice, I find it hard to believe it's not a close microphone.
-There is a point at about 2:50 which sounds like a split between vocal takes. May not be, but it certainly sounds quite reminiscent of such a thing. Other times also, but that was the most jarring.
-Also, no variation of sound when she moves around. The angle to which you face the microphone can make a significant difference to the sound.

(Disclaimer: I'm using laptop speakers, so it's hardly an in depth listen, but I can't be bothtered to head into the music room for this)

They were probably Saunmeitang (soy-en may-tung), basically plums that have been dried in the sun covered in salt, sugar and other spices. My hardy Chinese heritage means I fucking love them to bits, but it's rare to find other round-eyes that like them.

The main one also pulls all sorts of things (money, microphones, a cat) out of her vagina. Keep watching where she keeps getting all of the 'stuff' in the adverts from.

Not finding Maddy has cost £2million from the public purse, apparently.

I've heard her other stuff and I can believe it's her singing, just not singing it live, there and then as claimed. The dynamics go from soft to loud and all the while she just looks like she's talking the words with no effort.

Perhaps when it's all over they can turn some of the Olympic site into "MaddieLand"!

-stick on an unconvincing fake moustache and see who can carry away a mannequin dressed like a child in PJs the fastest!
-have your photo taken with the Pope! (NB: an actor portraying the Pope)
-thrill to the ups and downs of the Emotional Rollercoaster - the first in the Southeast that can change direction and go back on itself - or the wet fun of the Crocodile Tears log flume!
-your portrait sketched and a mullet added by a professional sketch artist
-enjoy a drink and fine food in our licenced tapas restaurant, "130 Yards".
-daily hole digging competitions
-plant evidence in the back of a minivan, sponsored by Renault UK
-gift shop selling licenced Everton strips and coloboma contact lenses
-hotel with swimming pool and children's creche on-site - or why not rent one of our "wealthy suburbanite" themed villas, and receive a free case of wine!
-every hour hunt for an actor leading a child in one of our exotic themed locations: an remote Indian village, a Moroccan marketplace, a Portugese beach resort, a Belgian restaurant, and more! Our set designers have a collection of 50 backdrops which are rotated daily to keep up the fun and intrigue!
-photo studio with computer aging software - why not have it printed on a tshirt?
-twins under age 10 get in half price!

You won't want to go home again!

Looks like another quiet day here. I'm going to spend it obviously looking for new employment. And nomming the fuck out of posts on here. not getting the breaks right now, it seems.

EDIT: if only i could drive me a tractor

EDIT2: In the T&A there were 693 jobs advertised. I've found 4 that I might apply to. Going to be a long, long day. And I can't access my gmail account from here.

Heh. I do feel like that on a daily basis. I could do great things here, and make my bosses look good. it's stupid why they don't employ me full time, as one person is retiring, and the other has just had a job interview. Which would leave my line manager by himself.

Here we've made a few people redundant as a cost-saving exercise based on us having a spangly new CRM system. I did think it was a bit soon to do it though and that's backed up by the fact we've had to get a couple of temps in this week. Muppets. Management, that is, not the temps.

I'm in a particularly frustrated mood this week. I'm going to play with the pelican crossing at rush hour in Saltaire to cheer myself up later.
