We walked up to Baildon Moor, took about20 minutes to get to the top and had a walk about a bit, then down along a path which looks superfuntimes to ride up and down. So, that's a mountain bike adventure playground 500m from my front door. Woop! I might get as fast as Wullie if I practice. Off to buy a £20 bullet cam thing.

I've still got one of them dodgy keyring camera thingys. The quality's decent, but it had too narrow a FOV for me. If you want it it's yours.

It's better than the original run, to be honest. I've seen far more of Jersey Shore than I ever wanted to now though.

I enjoyed it. (but I'm programmed to say that...)

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised, it was set to record but I thought I'd watch the first 5mins and ended up watching it all.

Just watched it myself and found it really quite moving.

I'd read this article first:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... cised.html

And that coloured my opinion somewhat as AE Jnr is autistic so my 'defensive' circuits kicked in, (yeah I know.... Daily Mail.....), but it seems to me that:

a) Derek isn't autistic, although most certainly on the spectrum (there are too many mannerisms - physical, verbal, and behaviour wise to conclude differently)

and

b) Gervais obviously isn't taking the piss out of disabled people anyway

If anything Derek is used as a mirror to reflect the lack of caring so many people show daily, and the cruelty that is now endemic across much of society - he's a selfless and caring person and right from the off it's clear that he's the good guy and he's played as such from start to finish, there's clearly not a bad bone in his body.

I wasn't expecting much from this programme, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

play by play of the Brevik trial. One subsititution so far, as a judge wrote on facebook that the death penalty is a good idea for him. Kinda puts into perspective the problems with lay judges.

Glad I didn't read that first. I watched it without any preconceptions and thought it handled the subject matter very tastefully. Derek is not victimised, he has the run of the place and everyone likes him. Sure, Karl Pilkington's character moans about him, but he moans about everything. I don't get some of the comments in that article at all.

Helen arranged to see her mate at the Trafford Centre for food and a natter tonight, as she fairly regularly does, which for me means an evening of takeaway curry, booze and watching* Ghost in the Shell SAC DVDs.

Now she's ill and despite dragging herself to work thinks that means she can't go out tonight. Very peculiar thresholds on the woman (especially as she doesn't even like work); illness is much more likely to keep me off work than out of the pub - that's right, isn't it?

Anyway. Bah. Bah!

* Naturally I'll have to watch it again because of the booze.

This just proves something that shouldn't be a surprise - people who have disabled children can be idiotic pricks too. Confused how having some minimally related experience to aspects of the subject matter makes you feel empowered enough to claim absolute moral authority on an issue. I liked the episode, and the use of Ludovico Einaudi's music was totally awesome.

Yeah, but I already have Infinity. Literally all they're doing is changing a setting in the exchange or backend or something that removes the speed caps and re-sync.

The phone "upgrade" also said activation on the 19th but completed inside half an hour. I'm hopeful the broadband will be the same.

Clearly this means I'm sitting here refreshing the order tracking page every few seconds, because that's bound to make it happen quicker while I'm sat at my desk at work anyway.

I did this on Sunday, only 2 months into my 18 month contract so was not a big issues starting again.

Upgrade should be done by midnight tonight, its already changed to 62\15 after a router reboot.

I'm "recognising quality". As the poster on the wall in my direct vision advises me to.

That and I've a dog slow computer and running a VLOOKUP on anything over 10,000 rows takes ages.

Numbers, letters and dates. 44 columns of it. I think I get rid of about two thirds of that data, so I'm rewriting the process. I think this might speed some of it up.

EDIT: I'm looking up information for each unit of stuff in a seperate sheet and then assigning it a value from that sheet into the new one.

It would, but I actually meant the row you're searching in - the index row, if you like.

Sorry, mate, I don't have a scooby. On sheet A I have 10,00 item numbers. I VLOOKUP that item number in the other sheet to tell me Information B. Repeat for information C, D and E. It seems to chunter along a fair bit as it does it. These sheets come from three different departmetns, aso tehre's a lot of redundant information on them. I end up with a list of Items and a list of reasons.

I broke my phone. This makes me incredibly, incredibly sad.

However, I thought this would be the perfect time to upgrade to ICS, so I went to have a look on our service providers website to find one. If I want the handset for free, the monthly cost will be £80.99 for 24 months. 8) :( To keep the contract I have currently, the handset will cost £375, which is more than amazon sell them for, sim-free.

I'm going to either have to settle for something shit, buy a sim-free one off t'internet or get raped by our phone company.

FML.

Speaking of phones and that - you know when they give you like, a free Wii for signing up to a new contract? What's the deal with that? Is it legit? I ask because I'm happy with the iPhone 4 for the time being, and I could sign up to a new contract (12 months), that is cheaper than my current contract (which has now lapsed), sell the free phone on eBay, keep my iPhone 4 for another year AND get a free Wii/PS3/iPad 2/etc from Carphone Warehouse/one of the other cunty phone shops.

Should I do it?

It's a number, then. Make sure Excel is treating it as a number (and not storing it as text) as that will slow it down. Then order the number column that you're searching in.

Other things matter too - take a look at this: http://www.ozgrid.com/Excel/ExcelSpread ... htm#LookUp

They are legit, but you pay for the console in the contract price over 12 months. I suspect that a sim only deal will be significantly cheaper. What do you need from you contract minutes and data wise?

I just rebooted the Infinity one (not the router or hub)

Not sure mine will get more than 62MB looking at the profile thay have on it. Have to say I thought it would just double and be 76MB

At the same time I need to give myself a talking too as I've gone from 8MB to 62 in 2 months

They are legit, but you pay for the console in the contract price over 12 months. I suspect that a sim only deal will be significantly cheaper. What do you need from you contract minutes and data wise?

Fuck it, I've got a PS3 Slim with a Move kit. For "nowt". They just gave me it in the shop. Also got some shite Nokia phone. Paying £5 less a month, loads of minutes, texts and data. Pretty good deal. Basically got given a PS3 and reduced my monthly phone bill in one swoop.

Yeah! So I now have two PS3s, although one of them hasn't been in my possession since I moved away, so I have a PS3 again I guess. What's the deal with not getting a HDMI lead with it? It just comes with a Red White Yellow lead. Can they even do HD?

Oh, and somewhat amusingly, GAME offered me £9 (!) for the Move Starter Kit I got with it (sealed and everything, not that it matters). They had the exact same starter kits on their shelves for £49.99. That's got to be a new record. That was store credit as well, not cash.
