oh god, apparently there are people who exist that deny the fact that Romans took Jewish slaves or sent any of them to egypt. I don't know why they think this. Perhaps they assume that Pompey invaded Jerusalem and went "you know I think this will be the one county we don't take slaves from", or they think the Romans went "why don't we take these many thousands of people all the way from Jerusalem to Rome at huge expense instead of just nipping them across the border to a country we also own"

I saw Jesus fall flat on his face in Lewisham today. Apparently some Christian group were re enacting Christs passion (that well known story of good Saturday) and was in the right place and the right time to see him fall flat on his face.

I assume he won't get up now until Sunday.

Being in Lewisham, faling over is one of the lesser issues that could befall Jesus. On a saturday afternoon, its more likely he could have been stabbed in the neck or talked to death by a Socialist Worker person.

Well, I'm not posh and was pretty pissed off by it. It's something I look forward to every year and about the only sporting event I try to catch when I can, even from my current location of rural Tennessee.

And, to make matters worse, the idiot stopped the race when the mighty Dark Blues were about to take the lead too. Grrr....

I've well broken my back. I'm supposed to be going out tonight and just having a shower/walking upstairs/folding laundry/standing up have proved both painful and difficult.

I think I must be old, now I don't get random injuries or pains, there's always a cause. This came from absolutely no-where. Stupid fucking body.

Must be the season for it as mine's flared up again too. Currently sitting in a hunched position in The Den trying not to cry.

I had twinges last night and today am in certain positions to avoid agony. Woke up last night just lying there in pain. Turned over, flipped pillow, some relief until Mrs Meaty turned over and threw an arm across and wrenched something.

Bought six copies of 2000AD for £2. Three are from '91, 3 from '94. Had 3 pints of beer. Awaiting Easter Meal and am really hoping there is moar beer available.

I started suffering with the suggestion of a cold on Wednesday. Of course, it waited until 4:30pm on Thursday before kicking in properly. Bravely went out for beer on Friday afternoon but had to concede failure at 6pm. Got home and straight to bed, had to cancel going to the in-laws yesterday, and today, still ill, arguably worse, so had to cancel joining up with the wife and the boy today.

So. Fucking. Bored. Also, first time I've had 2 days off work since christmas, before that, the cottage. Cunt.

Preparing to leave Tennessee - the two months have zoomed by.
I never like packing a bag, and today I decided to take out my frustrations on the bag itself, ripping the top open as I tried to squeeze the final bits of accumulated crap into it (I only took over a change of clothes and my civil war uniform - am bringing back far more). So, a trip to get a new one tomorrow, before heading to Oxford, Mississippi (it feels right to go there!), and Tunica in the evening to take one last look at the Mississippi river. Spending Tuesday in Memphis, then flying out Wednesday. I'll be very sorry to leave.

Filling in a job application. As it's on-line and I've applied to the same employer before, all my previous details are saved so I only have to make a few changes and add evidence of my competency for the key skills, but that's the part I always struggle with. Bum!

Once again home alone with the baby. I tried playing pinball on my 360 while she mucked about with toys, but she clearly took exception to it as she crawled over, turned the console off and then stood by the TV, all expectant like.

Fair enough. Evil genius baby can watch the telly.

But in return, we're totally going to the pub in Blackheath for lunch.

Here's some phone camera shots from the walk on Saturday. The suspension bridge was about a foot wide and spanned a raging torrent of certain doom for anyone who lost their footing. No, only kidding, but mild peril abounded. We also saw a sheep with its head stuck in a feeding bucket which was seriously fucking funny. Stupid sheep.

Just finished dinner on a hotel rooftop in Bangkok. It's 32 degrees at 10 at night.
