Technically, proper geeky time would actually be 13:37 UTC.

Things I like today so far:

Ace sailing weather.
The road being clear enough so I didn't get stuck behind knobheads.
Free wi-fi on the boat.
Security being non-existent, not having to show ID or walk through x-ray machines or get half undressed or having to queue for fucking ages.
Getting a seat away from children.
Bring sat near to the bar.

Things I don't like today so far:

4. 5hrs sleep.
Getting up in the dark.
£8 for parking.
Only having £5 and hoping I don't get a ticket.
England being so far away; move it closer.

How muscly are you, Flis? Have you and Throughsilver ever actually been seen in the same room? Anyone else think that Throughsilver us actually Flus in a buff-suit, constantly chatting herself up?

If Flis disappears to the loo tonight, then Throughsilver turns up but leaves before Flis emerges again... I am suspicious!

Take loads of pics for us Flis, sad we couldn't be there tonight :(

Quiet Sunday!

I've been out for lunch with friends, and babies, and we ate loads and drank loads and ended up drinking on the Heath and lying in the Sun.

Quality day.

I have, for the first time in my live, seen some of Twin Peaks. Watched the pilot and the first 4 episodes of season one so far, I think.

Agent Cooper reminds me of MaliA.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they're remaking the film, but a quick google fails to confirm it. Prefer the series anyway.

A busy weekend - we finished merging the allotment's four small beds into one very large one, planted the onions, shallots, broad beans and raspberry canes, and in between I drilled holes through the walls and dug back boxes while Helen pulled and tacked network cable between them.

Somehow, the living room's two holes are one hole on the outside wall. Luckily, the 12mm drill bit we got on Saturday (along with a £25 parking fine) made a big enough hole for four cables to pass.

Then I barbecued some chicken, sausage, black pudding and sweet pepper for nomming.

Now I just need to fix the back boxes and get our network engineer mate to come round with his wire strippers, punchdown tool and line tester, and we're on easy street. Woo!

I'm extremely jealous if anyone with an allotment or vegetable patch in their gardens. I miss and love the smell of the sun on lush growing food. When we moved to London my grandfather got an allotment and his allotment neighbours were always so friendly and down to earth, and people were so generous to share produce and seeds/plants etc. It was lovely. I want to grow some mild sweet onions now.

We've turned part of the garden into a veg bed too, but if it helps Mimi, I ache all over today and one of the allotment neighbours is a twat who parks his van blocking the access road rather than on a verge 20 feet further along. Oh, and one of our immediate neighbours told us (and everyone else) we cheated at the pub quiz (to the embarrassment of everyone, including her husband).

Homegrown food is worth the effort though, even that my eczema is displeased by the hairs on tomato stems.

I want to grow some mild sweet onions now.

Have you not looked at options for growning fruit / veg in a small garden ?

We had lots of stuff grown in pots and some in earthbox's (http://www.earthbox.com/ ) they dont take up much room , the water reservoir means that they dont need that much watering and the netting allowed us to plant some small runner beans which gave us so many pods we were sick of them by the end of the summer :-)

No snow forecast in Manchester, just a bit of Manchester drizzle.
