What requires a hot and cold water feed, but no waste pipe? As there are two pipes in the attic, but no waste pipe. it was a sewing room.

No, it is a question. Why put the feeds in but no waste pipe?

Are you sure they are feeds and not radiator flow and return pipes?

If they're in the attic, can they be something to do with a water tank up there?

Yeah, could it be the head tank in-and-out? I'd guess there'd be a remnant of an overflow pipe nearby as well.

Just had some (more) games delivered to work, one of which was Bushido Blade for the PS1. I was helping one of the younger girls in the office who is about 18 or 19 and she took one look at the case and said 'Wow.. that's well old'. :'(

What type of bolier is in the house at the moment? If it is a Combi boiler then squirt could very well be correct as the header tank becomes redundant when the Hot water cylinder is done away with also. The Gas fitter doing the installation should have remover the supply pipes from the attic space as having dead legs of water is against regs (can cause bacterial growth in the unmoving water which can feed back into the potable water of the house), but some installers are gibbons.

If you can trace the pipework back and they are defiantly 'live' but are not supplying anything then you really want to look at getting them removed, it is a pretty easy job you can do yourself, if you are handy and have some basic tools.

That's quite possible - does the house have a combi boiler? If so, there would be all sorts of tanks and pipes in the attic originally which have been made redundant.

I was talking about Steel Batallion the other day and someone described it as "a blast from the past"

I know what you mean about feeling old. In my mind, the Gamecube and Xbox are only about 3 years old with the PSone being 5 years.

I'm just glad she didn't notice the Atari Lynx games that I also had today.

I have had many moments of 'fucksake, I'm well old'... the last couple of weeks.

The first was when the children were discussing 9/11, one of them hadn't even been born yet and they were having a conversation about an event that changed the world, in as a grown-up a way as is possible for children. They were also discussing the point of money and why the current system is rubbish. Weirdos. I told them to go play outside.

Then, last night, Ramsea was wondering who the fuck would pay to watch Titanic 3D at the cinema and I pointed out that there is an entire generation of teenagers who won't have seen it or had the cinematic experience of it. 15 fucking years ago!?

The children were also taking the piss out of us for the PSone being the best console around at the time when we were kids :(
