For people who send the odd letter it's fine, but for some old dear on a state pension who relies on the post, I imagine that increase is quite prohibitive!

How will effect her if she relies on the post? Do people post letters these days, hasn't digital communication taken over now?

Yeah, I imagine it'll be quite expensive for a man trapped in a post box who sends out letters randomly asking for help, too.

I bought 120 first class stamps from Costco about 2 years back, still have half of them left.
I might buy some more to last through the incoming postal price apocalypse.

I have a New Super Mario Bros. birthday card to give to my brother. It's just the DS game's cover art blown up. It even has the logo, so it's an advert. And yet I paid for it.

I am irresistable to biting beasties, I have two really itchy ones just now, both around the knee on either leg. Have to put soothing lotion on them to allow me to sleep. Went into Boots today and bought the strongest insect repellant they had so hopefully I won't get anymore. If you don't have anti histamine lotion or anything like that, my mum used to always put aftershave on my bites.

I taste disgusting or something, so they don’t bother with me. Miss Malabar was covered in bites in Turkey, while I lay there with no repellant on, on top of the sheets, with not a single bite to be found.

This weather is lovely. Had a lovely walk along the canal last night, before stopping in Fannys for a pint and a read of the paper, seeing as MrsA is still in Oxford, talking to librarians.

BSG series 2 is still really good and I hope to finish series 1 of The Wire this week.

Skipton Beer festival soon, too. And I've got to remember what the thing is like in Brassed Off where the colliery bands all meet up and play and get drunk, as I want to go to that.
