Listening to Rockin' All Over the World by Status Quo at six in the morning and being convinced nothing more joyous had ever been created by a band.

Feeling sorry for myself on a Saturday night and watching Chico perform Chico Time on X Factor. I saw him berate the judges and audience for taking life too seriously and I just nodded, choking back "you're right, Chico, you're right," in between sobs.

Looking at my 3-month old daughter play with one of her toys and cry with the realisation I will never know this person ever again.

I welled up a bit when at the end of Portal 2, too.

Since becoming a dad, I cry all the bloody time. Stupid girl germs infecting my brain.

Can't remember the last time I actually properly cried at something, which isn't to say I wouldn't. Plenty of lump-in-throat situations but not too much else. Dead inside.

I was in floods at the end of Death of a Superhero. To be fair, so was the entire audience. Though perhaps not quite for the same reason.

Forrest Fucking Gump. The scene where Lieutenant Dan comes walking over Forrest's garden in Greenbow Alabama for his wedding.

Yeah, some of these are pretty much ok to cry at.

In one instance of 'extreme refreshment' I stormed out of the lounge after a fall out with MrsZ, got to the tiled hallway and slipped over taking out a big potted plant with me. I was a pissed up mess on the floor covered in soil and for some reason I started crying.

I managed 15 minutes of Up before running from the room with my head leaking.

I cried the last time I got dumped, which was by the lass I was seeing before I started dating Mrs AE.

Anyway, one would think it is appropriate to sob when one is dumped hence not for this thread, but the truth is that she'd been absolutely horrible to me and it had been revealed in the closing weeks of our relationship that she'd actually been fucking engaged to someone else whilst still seeing me on the side. (She'd basically call me up when she wanted a shag or a bit of change of company, and being as I was a hormonally supercharged Uni student with a perma-stiffy I would always go along and perform my duties.)

In fact, putting the pieces together in the aftermath I realised that she'd once shagged us both on the same evening, and that I'd been second to have a go, and I couldn't see that she'd had any opportunity to shower or take a bath inbetween, so I was basically knobbing some other guy's jizm.

Point being it was pretty much a blessing that she dumped me (and indeed within a couple of weeks I was going out with Mrs AE and we're still together nearly 18 years later), but it didn't stop me crying like a big girl in the middle of Manchester on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

The bit in Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars where he says "Show me a garden that's bursting into life" makes me well up. It reminds me of my wife in the garden, y'see.

Also, the other day I was singing erm... a Bruno Mars song that may or may not be called 'The way you are' to MiniPaz and burst into thick manly tears. Even MrsPaz called me a pussy for that one.

I can't remember the last time I cried inappropriately; I cry at movies. All. The Time. I almost cried walking back to the hotel from the pub the other week, in frustration more than anything. I didn't want to walk.

The thought of having to have a space-saver spare wheel on my car for a week makes my eyes sting, I think I will cry if another Transit overtakes me.

I got overtaken by a bloody Daewoo Matiz last week on the family outing, which made me want to cry now I think about it.

AE Jnr tells me off and gets really upset if I overtake anything going faster than a tractor, so if we get stuck behind the Number 3 bus on the coast road, there we shall stay.

Back on topic, I'm far too emotional, especially when I've had a few drinks/tired. Anything remotely sad or upsetting (usually anything with kids but also includes stuff like how much happier the man was last night on embarrassing bodies after he had surgery to help him with his "buried penis") on TV will make me go into a fast blink frenzy to try and dry my eyes before they start leaking uncontrollably down my face.

Last Friday, as some of you will know, I lost my job. Even though I didn't like working there and I was only there for 6 months, it was really difficult to cope with and I pretty much had to leave the office without saying a word because I was too upset to speak. It was ridiculous how much it affected me.

That's shit Bloody work. I tie myself in knots thinking about my last job. I have nightmares about it and still have issues answering the phone.
