Good afternoon, I was hoping that someone could shed some light on the problem I'm having.

I've a windows XP desktop computer with a REALTEK RTL8185 54M Wireless PCI card in it. The router is a SKY one, broadcasting on Channel 11.

In the config of the PCI card, I've set:

Channel to 11
Channel Plan: DOMAIN_FROM_EEPR
Defailt Adhoc Wireless Mode: WIRELESS_MODE_G
Fragmentation Threshold: 2432
Network type: Infrastructure
Powersave mode: None
PSP XLINK Mode: Disable
Rate Adaptive: Enable
SSID: ANY
Wireless Wake on LAN: Disable

The wireless network on the PC is WPA2-PSK and AES. The password is correct.

I can see the network, it just hangs when it comes to connect to it. Any ideas?

Everything else in the house (iPod Touch, iPhone4, laptop) can connect with no problems at all, it's only the desktop that doesn't.

This is the remaining problem. It'll switch between 1 and 5.5

The signal strength fluctuating can be cause by a few things but the main culprit is likely to be Alpha and Delta waves. Your brain is made up of billions of brain cells called neurons, which use electricity to communicate with each other. The combination of millions of neurons sending signals at once produces an enormous amount of electrical activity in the brain, the resulting magnetic field can cause disruptions in other electrical signals in the vicinity.

To resolve this potential issue the best 'fix' to use in a home environment is to have electromagnetic impairment devices available for anyone in the area of the equipment.

Hope that helps.

To be safe it would be best to make anyone entering your house to wear one as it is better to be safe than sorry.
