I can't see him yet. He's communicated with me though.

He was banned from a sub sect of nerds for his filthy moniker.

I want to kill some on. Slowly and painfully and possibly with a spoon...

We have some new wizzy applications. There is a lot of effort being done to get the servers to run them, upgrades etc. I got invited to a meeting for the first time. After an hour, I asked about a client upgrade, to a room full of blank looks. Turns out after 9 months no-one has thought about the bloody PC to run it..... *fume*

The shouting sounds like its coming from everywhere.

Hang on, there's a trail of foie gras leading into the server room.

The transport sector being targetted by the animal rights mob has really annoyed me, and there's then the PETA bloke missing the point by saying "More than 90% of drugs that pass trials in animals fail when they're given to people", using an utterly stupid argument. I think the law needs to be tightened further on these groups, as they've caused enough misery and suffering in the past as it is.

More drivel.

Quote:
Is animal research good science anyway? We think not. Quite simply, there is little robust evidence that the use of primates and genetically modified mice (the other main animal group imported) produces reliable information. Just because scientists can create myriad "models" of human disease, all differing by one or two pieces of genetic material, does not mean that the results can safely be extrapolated to humans.

This is also a stupid thing to say:

Quote:
And we have public opinion on our side. An opinion poll by YouGov in the UK and EU in 2009 showed large majorities of people against causing suffering to lab animals

"Are you for or against causing suffering to lab animals?" is a stupid question to ask.

I'm getting quite cross with this level of stupid propaganda being aired, and the misinformation and manipulated data presented. For once, the comments (that I've read so far) have reflected this.

Also, I have every sympathy with the animal rights cause. However, having experienced them first hand, I would quite cheerfully pull out a gun and shoot a puppy in front of their faces, just to piss them off.

I like drinking Chai now and again and remembered the Starbucks variety being much nicer than the Twinnings I'm currently drinking (£2.50 ish for 50 bags). So yesterday I thought I'd pick up a box when I passed by Starbucks, I picked up a tin (used to be in boxes) and paid the price of £3.99. Ah well, I knew they'd be more expensive than other brands. It was only this morning that I realised the tin contains 15 fucking bags. FIFTEEN FUCKING BAGS FOR FOUR FUCKING QUID!

Heh, excellent. A lot of men do that. Probably all hetero ones. You're not being a lech; it's almost an involuntary thing. The sun appears through a gap in the clouds, and you squint. A hot girl in your peripheral moves, and you look.

So over the past few weeks, I have had a few texts off an unknown number (Calling me "Rich", so I know they are not for me), so I reply today saying, "I think you have the wrong number." I get the response, "Okay, who is this then?"

How do I answer that question to someone who doesn't know me? (other than to ignore it completely, which is what I plan on doing.)

Learn to make your own, tastes much more betterer & you can experiment with different mixes. Otherwise these bags are the fucking business, 20 for £2 or thereabouts though. http://www.equalexchange.co.uk/products ... .asp?id=24
