What do you guys use?

The offical Twitter app has broken for me, after about a day it stops updating or letting me scroll the timeline. Deleting and re-installing fixes it for a while, but then it breaks again.
Rather than arseing around and trying to work out why it is broken, i'll just get another client. Tried Kiwi, which seems great, apart from the URL shortening appears to be broken. Clicking on a shortened url opens it in a browser window, but with the colon stripped out, which is pretty fucking useless!

What else is out there that is clean, simple and actually works properly?

Ah, the latest kiwi beta fixes the URL shortening. That'll do for now until Twitter break their API again :D

I switched to Twitterrific (on all devices, thought it's unnecessary) as soon as they started supporting Tweet Marker a while ago and haven't looked. back.

I don't like Twotterrific's combined view. I use the official client on OS x, although I'm not overjoyed with it.

I actually can't stand it being any different. If the clients were intelligent enough to wipe notifications of @replies when you scrolled past them in your main timeline, I'd very much change my mind. But they aren't.

Twitterrific is good and used to be my agent of choice, but then they had to remove the Translate feature.

On Doc Gaywood's suggestion I'm running Tweetbot now and it seems pretty pro.

Three things I'd like to see in one client:

I) The ability to mute people/words/services (someone recommended tweetbot and I love this feature).

2)DMs in the main timeline

3) Ability to post pictures in DMs

I'm not sure 3 exists anywhere. I'd also like to be able to choose an alert sound. And have read tweets marked as read across devices. And a pony. White with pink hair.

I was more than happy with the official app, until it just broke. I suspect it has trouble handling fast user switching, as the problems started after I set Kate up with her own user for the iMac.
Regardless of that, when a wipe and re-install didn't fix it, it was a case of  and move on.

I had a mobile one that did 1 and 2 - not sure about 3. It also let you choose a notification sound.

It did something else that I didn't like though, so I got rid of it. I can't even remember what it was called.

Pictures in DMs isn't possible for private pictures, as there's no mechanism to authenticate into a private picture sharing. I guess that's why not many clients support it.

I'm not so bothered about them being 'private', but sometimes I just want to show one person (say, Gilly) rather than the whole of BEEX. or One knitting friend rather than all of the Ravelry peeps that follow the two of us. Basically, something that will allow the D @something (picture upload) that you can do manually but which I always mess up.

But then I have to upload a picture to somewhere else, which is difficult from an iPod, I think.

I don't have Gilly's email :(

(I'm not trying to send you a picture, Gilly, if you happen to see this - you were just the first person I thought of  )

You could PM it using the forum, but that's a bit of a faff, I agree.

I just DM'd you a picture, I think - did it work?

As the first "box quote" they use is from TUAW, I think it might be on iThings as well.

ARGH MY GOD YES, MY EYES!

This is surely abuse of your position. Seriously Grim... that's just wrong - nobody needs to see that. I mean, it's impressive and all, just... wrong.

:'(

Can you get Osfoora for OSX? It's my favourite iOS one.
