I spent the morning of Wednesday investigating every solution into fixing NAT problems and connection shit to give it a final go.

I did say as we started "if this doesn't work this time I will be completely crushed."

I'm hoping to move my band practices to 6-8pm in order to make room for this. Turning up after you've all had warm-up races is shite.

According to Youtube, it's blocked in 240 countries and allowed in six: France, Ireland, Russia, Saint Martin, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

This is because it features music copyrighted by IODA, SME and UMG. I have no idea who they are or which pieces of music are theirs or which ones are the problematic ones in terms of it being blocked everywhere... suffice it to say I can't even watch it on my 360's Youtube player because it's somehow blocked (perhaps because LIVE is based in the US?) and I'm not thrilled.

If it's one track I need to remove I'll happily make a new version (there are a few things about it I want to fix anyway) but unless I know which I'm not really going to waste my time uploading it 20 times for it to be sniffed over by their infringement-o-tron, trying to work out which song I used is the extra naughty one.

I do understand why BenBuja switched to royalty free music for his later GTA blooper videos, now.

Why is this in any way substantially different to Forza 3?

I'm reluctant to buy as I got the third one to continue the Forza 2 nights I'd enjoyed and ended up never getting a game with Bezzies I think more than once or twice. Does everyone automatically decamp to the new iteration? In this new age of austerity I can't afford to do that :/

Forza 3 was basically Forza 2 GOTY edition. Forza 4 adds far more new content and actual enhancements (driving physics are much better and a lot more fun) and is a "proper" sequel to Forza 3.

You do need to be interested in cars in the first place, though. The career mode is just as tedious as it was in Forza 3, and you endure it only for the free cars and cheevos.

No, Forza 3 was Forza 1HD + 2. It basically added back in everything that disappeared from the first game.

And Forza 4 = (Forza (1HD + Forza2) x Forza3) / (how much you like cars + willingness to Grind through career mode)

Forza 4's physics engine is incredibly good though. I thought 3's was a backwards step.

Where K is the likelyhood of your NAT settings allowing you to actually play, which hovers around 0.7.

I disagree with Meaty. I don't think 3 and 4 differ in terms of content -- perhaps 4 has more tracks and cars on paper, but 3 already had enough so who cares? For me, F4 just feels about a billion times more fun to drive than F3 ever did. Hell, than any previous Forza game ever did. It's all about the new physics modelling.

My point was that much of the new stuff in 3 felt like stuff you remember coming out in the DLCs only myp bought for 2.

I enjoyed 3, it did introduce some nice things like the proper storefront, but it wasn't the huge leap ahead that 2 was over 1 or 4 is over 3.

This isn't just because I have such fond memories of 2 either.

This should go ahead good and proper on Wednesday.

It's a bit late but the theme is... taxis! Whatever the locally mandated livery* for taxis are, paint an appropriate four door car up in it. I can't remember what the class for the city cars was (C?) so these will be to the top of B.

*or the nearest populated area. In Cardiff, taxis are all black with a white hood. In Caerphilly, they're all extremely ratty old Astras and Rovers with the phone number slapped on the side, and the only distinguishing feature is the sign on the roof (which we can't have in Forza). Hence, I'll be doing a Cardiff taxi.

Nottingham taxis are like London black cabs except British Racing Green, so won't really be suitable. I might do the Bournemouth ones instead.

Hence my saying 'or somewhere nearby which does something more than a sticker'.

Are ALL Nottingham taxis London models, for example?

And what of non-Cannock taxis, say, Walsall or Lichfield? A quick Google search suggests Lichfield ones are white with the door trim deliberately a contrasting black.

Cardiff has lots of Passats, a few Avensises and Mundanos, sundry other marques (Merc, BMW, Vauxhall... sure I've seen a few Rover 75s and Chevrolet Epicas). A large number are those Peugeot and Fiat minivan-taxis, though.

Bedford ones are just normal cars with a sign on. I honestly can't think of anywhere around here where they have distinctive paintwork.

The cars with signs on, are they not the minicabs? Do you not have the TX1's
