Yay! My PSP is resurrected! Turns out my charger was actually my mate's PSP Phat charger and that's why it wouldn't power it. Bought a GAME own brand charger for a fiver and now it's working again. Time to get some PSX classics downloaded.

That wave breaks onto a reef that's really shallow. like 2-3 feet shallow, if memory serves.

It hasn't ruined my day but I am idly thinking about fire and acid and it's possible applications for some reason.

I'm currently on a bed giving blood. Commercial radio is playing. This upsets me and if they think it will encourage me to return then they are wrong.

It's getting a bit "Fallout" around here. Apparently they're likely to condemn the entire harbour area. The sailing club is based there, so there's a rush to get all the yachts out of there before it's locked down with 10 foot high razor-wire fences and Alsatians and twitchy MOD personnel wearing bright yellow moon suits holding sub-machine-guns and geiger counters standing guard. I imagine.

I'd be interested to know just how much radiation the particles are giving off.

Fuck London.

Also, where exactly do you live Kalmar? Could I throw a stone and hit you from Edinburgh city centre?

Just throw it directly over the Forth in a northerly direction. See the big orange building? Aim for that.
What are you doing in Edinburgh?

Enough to kill you bad, if you happen to ingest one, or give you a dose of radiation sickness if it gets in your clothes or that. This is moderately unlikely, but still.

Oh man, have you gone and done it now, don't you watch the films?

All it takes is one person to mock the possibility, and suddenly we are overrun with chainsaw wielding mutants.

I had some sailing lessons over at port edgar when I moved here. Part of this involved deliberately capsizing the boat and having a swim in the Forth. In October. That was fun.

I've never sailed a wayfarer, but, by all accounts, they are superfun. I'm quite green, now.

I passed the course and now have a level 2 something or other which means I can rent a boat here and abroad. If I actually did so I'm sure I would end up killing myself and anyone foolish enough to sail with me almost immediately.

He's being kept in prison while the investigation goes on, generally a bad sign no? didnt he sail into an island to show some land lubbers his boat or something?

I'd have one of the waitresses shout "Make me feel like a woman one more time, maliA!" and then I'd coolly remove my red shirt, hand it to her and say "Iron this".

I quite enjoyed sailing when I gone and done it many years back.

There's a tape of the harbour master (or something) shouting at him to get back on the boat and help offload the passengers.
I'd say it's career limiting at best.

Why can't people be civil enough to put aside their differences and get together just for one hour for a funeral?

Families. Can't say I recommend them.

You really should consider writing a dating handbook. I'd buy a copy just for her to hold over the bath while I take a long soak.

He is definitely being hung out to dry, and by all accounts he wasn't the best captain in the world. However, also by all accounts the route he took is normal and they do it a lot, even though it is unofficial, which I would be extremely surprised if that was news to the company he works for...

I'm glad we don't live in a country where something like this happens and the news plays out criminal evidence against the accused, released by the prosecution, before he has been formally charged and while they are still looking for survivors. It stinks somewhat, regardless of his level of culpability.
