Be Excellent To Each Other

As you'll know if you've been following Bits & Bobs, I'm moving out of my flat at the end of the month and into a hoose.

A housewarming party will almost certainly follow, so I figured I'd turn it into a bit of a meet and invite you filthy lot to trample all over the plants in my landlord's garden and fuck shit up.

So, who'd be up for it? It'll probably be towards the middle of November, at a weekend of course. Postcode for those curious about location is SY5 6QT. The driveway probably has room for about 5 cars, but there's a residential estate nearby that might have on-street parking available.

There'll be limited room for people to crash over if they wish, won't know exact numbers until I've moved all my shit in though.

We stayed in a really good pub at the top of the hill, meet most of the cast of the Fast Show in there one night as they were filming the Raplh and Ted Christmas special nearby.

Funnily enough, the pub that they were filming in for the Ted and Ralph Christmas Special was the Three Fishes. On Fish Street.

New information:

This will now be taking place on the weekend of the 27-29 January. Either the Friday night or Saturday night, not sure yet as we have another housewarming to go to that a friend is organising for the same weekend as her and her missus share a lot of friends.

Oh, may be not academic - the date might need to be changed now because we're at the theatre seeing Greg Davies on the Friday night which is probably going to throw plans into a cocked hat.

No airport in this sleepy little town, Rick. Nearest airports are Birmingham and East Midlands (Nottingham) Both should do direct flights from Amsterdam though, and Shrewsbury's an hour away from Birmingham on the train.

Didn't you check your calendar before planning a party, Gazchap? Also, if your friends can only do one date but Gazlady's friends can only do another, what day is the party? At least you'll be able to pick a day now if Gazlady's friends can only do the one day that you now can't do. Bit of a shame, though.

I have no idea where Shrewsbury is.

Well, somewhat annoyingly, Gazlady is setting dates without checking with me first. To further complicate matters, her ex-housemate and uni-friend has moved into a new house too so they were planning on holding their housewarming parties on consecutive days to avoid their mutual friends having to come up from all across the country on two separate occasions. So they've held discussions amongst themselves and decided on the last weekend in January, confirmed that with their mutual friends but haven't checked to see if my friends can attend.

It's looking like it'll be the 28th January (a Saturday.)
