Personally, I'm frothing at the spluff over Mass Effect 3. Loved the second one with a mad passion.

Also really looking forward to Fez and Retro City Rampage on the XBLAH. Hopefully Capsized will get released on there at some point too.

Anyone else?

The Last Guardian. Oh, this isn't the Games to look forward to in 2013 thread? That Retro City game then.

I'm looking forward to Kid Icarus on the 3DS.. Apart from that, I haven't read much into what's coming out so I'm looking for pleasant surprises.

Oh.. Just read about Epic Mickey 2. I'll add that to my list. I really enjoyed the first one.

I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3 too, although I hope they've managed to make the resource gathering something other than almost game-breakingly tedious.

Mass Effect 3, I guess. But I honestly don't know any other games coming out this year

Hopefully that'll mean it'll be a cheap year, but it won't.

I have absolutely no idea what's coming out this year, but going from what other people have said, Bioshock Infinite and Borderlands 2 have me raising a Roger Moore-esque eyebrow of vague interest.
Oh, and that new pinball thingy from Farsight, which I'm hoping will be awesome.

I still have an embarrassing stack of games to play though, not to mention about two dozen old computers/consoles in my gaming area that I haven't even connected up yet.

Not at all. Hi5! I don't give a toss about ME3.

Bioshock Infinite I have high hopes for. Uhh... That's all I can think of just now, but I pay very little attention to games until the month before they come out so I'm really not sure what there is to get excited about.

Double Hi5! I played ME1 for a couple of hours, shrugged and never went back to it. Thoroughly underwhelming.

SSX for me. Adored Tricky and SSX3 so I pray EA haven't screwed it up.

Same here, although my achievement OCD means I need to go back and deghost it at some point. :(

I'm sure it will be more of the same, but you won't be able to play it online, as linking your account to EA will most likely get it hacked :D

I have no idea what games are coming out this year. The only games I can see myself playing for the next few months are WoW and BF3 to be honest...

I hope SSX is like Tricky and not some Kinect centric pile of shit.

I'll play the next Mass Effect game as I really enjoyed the first two.

I'm looking forward to:
  • Finishing the NG+ of Dark Souls I immediately started upon finishing NG.
  • Playing Zelda SS
  • Playing Skyrim
  • Playing Demon's Souls

Which are not new games, but then they've only just come out and should last me to summer at least.

For new games? No idea...

1) Borderlands 2

2) Bioshock Infinite, though I am growing increasingly anxious that it's just vaporware. I'm excited about it. The game, not the being punk'd by Ken Levine part.

3) Gotham City Impostors looks like it might be fun! I mean, roller skates + rocket launchers?

We've got the Devil May Cry reboot and Ninja Gaiden 3 to look forward to too.

Street Fight v. Tekken and maybe Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the fighters.

Syndicate will be out to ruin our adolescent memories with Aliens: Colonial Marines following to do exactly the same.

And even Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and new Tomb Raider to ruin our recent memories. Max Payne 3 might do the same.

I'm quite looking forward to Capcoms Dragons Dogma though to satisfy the hole that Dark Souls has left me with. It's shaping up quite nicely by the looks of things.

Yeah, this, even if I didn't know about TTT2 til now.

I'm mainly going to be catching up on games from 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 that I've not played yet. And probably 2006. I'm not one for recency. ;)

Max Payne 3 now up for pre-purchase on Steam.

£29.99, gets you the game, some DLC, and full versions of Max Payne 1 and Max Payne 2, (guaranteed to work on fancy new PCs).

Scheduled for release on 1st June.

I'm so there.

Box and a disc? No thanks!

(Not knocking the offer in itself, it's a good price, but I just don't do discs and boxes any more.)

I note that the 360 and PS3 versions come in at £34......

I suppose, but I never do that anyway so it's a moot point for me :)

Besides which, digital distribution is so mega-convenient I can't imagine ever buying a boxed game again, it seems positively archaic TBH.

Much rather have a physical product that retains resale value myself. Especially when paying over £20 for something, seems daft to loose cash for convenience. Apart from the quicker delivery, there's nothing more convenient anyway really.

Storage is a consideration too. According to my Steam library, I've got 178 items. I'd hate to have that many boxed PC games.

Not an issue for me since I've absolutely no interest in amassing a collection of old games that I'll probably never play again.

I think all boxed PC games these days come with a one-time activation code, and although it's years since I've bought a boxed PC game, the practice was almost universal even back then.
