Uncanny. When I met him at the weekend I noticed the left side of his face was closer to me than his right. Like a wedge.

Speaking of Nergal, he's looking quite healthy in the latest Behemoth vid. Considering he's just beaten Leukaemia that is.

I love how Metallica have released that Death Magnetic reject song to try and mitigate the damage that Lulu has done to their reputation.

It's hilarious, because they'd just got some of that reputation back after Stanger.

Lou Reed says Lulu was "made for people who are literate"

Quote:
"You know a lot of time these guys that interview us, they think they're more literate than I am. That would be a real bad mistake. Don't kid yourself about me, you know what I'm saying? I'm not a good guy to fuck with."

I think he's whacked out on goof balls and Metallica didn't have the stones to tell him once they were in the studio together.

Or I'm just not clever enough.

You don't understand words. Ha! Look at the falmer who can't understand words everybody! Lou Reed can read better than anyone. He loves reading so much that he changed his name to it.

The mauled image of Kurt-wossname* on that second video's "pre-playing" image is all I need to know. It's like Zod and Co in the glass, except they're being raped by John Holmes.

* Wait! It's Lou Reed, not Kurt Wossname! Is Lou Reed Kurt WOssname's Dad? Does that explain everything?!

Bloody hell, Death's "The Sound of Perseverance" is absolutely amazing. I've always thought Chuck went off the boil after Leprosy, but the 3CD re-issue of this from Relapse is great. /latetotheparty

Listening to the new Mithras, as recommended by Dimrill. This sounds like what Morbid Angel could be doing. Reminds me of Formulas...

I've never rated them before that EP. They always sounded like the sterile, boring "brutal" death metal bap-bap-bap-ers to me. That EP is/was dead good though :S

I loved Worlds Beyond the Veil when it came out. Pretty proggy, rather than brutal. The overload on drum machine blastbeats was a bit tiring though.

I probably should give the albums another listen, maybe my brayn's changed.

I've listened to four tracks of these Metallica castoffs and heard half a good track.

I'm not a massive Meshuggah fan, but a mini-meet could be nice.

I'll just not do the middle bit of 'Greatest Man Who Ever Lived' this time.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest Meshuggah fan but I'd be interested to see them play live again to gawk at their musician ninja skills.

I saw Meshuggah supporting Machine Head at the Manchester Apollo in... May 1995... 16 1/2 years ago... christ!
