Having MTV is quite cool. It is like time stopped in 1999.

flight cancelled, fortunately had only just left house, so back for another 3 hours then a retry. Looks like I will miss my connecting flight, so a night in Stockholm airport, then an early flight up in the morning, oh fucking joy!

Went to see santa and batman, no description of batman I can give will do it justice. Pictures incoming when I have had a cup of tea.

He was smaller than me and I'm 5'5, he wasn't allowed to talk and had a tiny jolly woman with him as an escort going up to obviously frightened/disappointed small children asking if they wanted a picture with batman. I rather suspect batman may kill by the end of the day.

"Yes" would have sufficed.

Had an excellent weekend in Bruges. Just the right size for a short break, and it's a lovely town.
My beer stash will probably last me until Boxing Day.

Ignoring the misplaced apostrophe in paragraph 4, this is quite interesting. Ballsy move on Philip Morris's part there, to sue the Oz government over legislation requiring fag packets to be plain and boring.

I think there's less Christmas about so far this year compared to last year.

I blame Grease and Silvio Berlusconi.

We used up too much under the last government, so the Conservatives have made cuts this year.

No news from interview on Friday as yet. There was an internal candidate, so I'm not holding my breath over this one. Fog has sat over Bingley for the past two days, giving it an otherworldly appearance or 'murdering weather' as MrsA and I overheard yesterday afternoon on our sojourn to the Co-Op. Plans for Christmas accelerate, and I'm hoping for no snow. Christ I'm bored, I might play some Fallout:NV.

Interesting. I suppose.

The first thing I thought when I saw that URL was "WTF has my dad been doing". Then I stopped panicking and thought "thank fuck my dad doesn't understand Twitter".

As part of the 'We're not going t give you any money, but we're going to make you do all the shit anyway' bollocks the DWP has decided to inflict on me, part of this cycle's fun was to sign up for a graduate internship program. In Bradford. With some trepidation, I had a look at the website, which and the "opportunities" were: Photographer, Web Developer, Product Designer, Research and Marketing Assistant, Marketer, First Line Support and ICT & Marketing Manager. Through this, one can earn the minimum wage for a short amount of time (4-12 weeks), if you are lucky enough to get a shot at one of the seven positions waiting to be filled (since 29th October 2011). If I'm one of the lucky few, I'll get "fully funded support to help me apply for these positions; 1-2-1 Action Planning session (s) [sic]from a dedicated mentor to identify your work preferences and any existing barriers to gaining work and ongoing mentoring support whilst on your Internship". Oh, there's no apparent way to apply for any such position from the website, and their forms you've to fill in are terrible. It's the life of Gods, this, I'll tell you.

Oh, whilst I think of it, I'm no longer available from 27th-29th December for Manchester beers, as I'll be in Bingley. Sorry, i know you're disappointed.

Role and Responsibilities

Front line support for business clients
Technical services
Hardware & software e.g. virus removal, fixing ICT system, basic networking etc.

Specific Qualifications or Educational Requirements

ICT- Computing related degree
Understanding of computer/ hardware/ software/ networks
Any preferred/ Addtional Skills Required

Mainly Windows based, servers & desktops
Occasional MAC based work

When faced with a problem you can't solve, all IT people do is lob the broken one in a skip, muttering about "irretrievable disc fragmentation, lossless encoding, twisted platters and the wrong type of magnetism" and put a brand new one in its place.

The shortcuts on my new machine don't work any more.
The icons have moved.
My emails have disappeared - can you get them back?
My old screen was brighter.
Why is this machine slower?

IT people do their best to NOT lob the old one in a skip :)

Dress shopping with Ramsea last night:

Him: That's nice.
Me: It's hideous.
H: That one's alright.
M: On a size 6 model.
H: That one....?
M: Too short, these things will be at least 3 inches shorter on me, retard.
M: Oooh! That one's nice!
H: £260...? Get fucked.
M: But I only like the expensive ones....
H: Filter the results to less than £50 and like one of those.

:D

It's for his work Christmas party, even I'm not that inappropriate....He suggested the one I wore when I went to Manchester, then I reminded him how I short it was. And said that was for my work Christmas party :P

It's for his work Christmas party, even I'm not that inappropriate....He suggested the one I wore when I went to Manchester, then I reminded him how I short it was. And said that was for my work Christmas party :P

Excuse me, I was talking to Ramsea.

One of my bollocks has been aching like feck since I woke up this morning.

I've had it before and it normally goes away within a few minutes. This one is sticking around like a bastard.

So I've made an appointment with the quack, on the assumption that I've developed a testicular torsion and that if I don't do something about it within 6 hours there's a 50% chance my testicle will die.
