Ange and I were watching some clips from this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival on the BBC a few months ago, and in one there was a rather odd-looking character with gaffa tape over his mouth, performing silent comedy with audience participation.

We found he was playing in Nottingham at the rather inappropriately-named Glee Club (formerly Jongleurs) in Nottingham and booked tickets. Little did we know we would be in the front row and what was in store for us...

To explain what happened would ruin some of the magic, but let's just say I spent almost as much time on stage as he did.

It was so much fun to be a part of and have a chat with him after the show (sans tape) - with any luck this man will be huge. All I'll do is just post a YouTube clip from this year's fringe. He's touring again next year, so I would strongly recommend you check it out if he's playing in your neighbourhood.

I watched this on the been at the time, and tried to get into his show during the fringe but it was utterly sold out. Looked awesome.

I saw him on TV a couple of months ago... Can't remember which show but it was very funny.

Did you have to take your clothes off Myp?

No, but I had to put things on. And... he made me do things. 8)

Really enjoyed that, hope he sticks at it - it's quite hard holding people when part of the act is in the anticipation. Separately, if you like audience participation you should try and see One Man Two Guvnors - was at the National, then touring and then in the West End. I cried with laughter for about ten minutes straight, unbelievable. If you hate James Corden you might love him afterwards.

Sold!

-edit- oh, it's actually got him in it. I was hoping for some Corden bashing. :(

Just another word on Tape Face Boy, he's doing another tour next year called 'More Tape', he told me last night. The clip above is just one sketch and was actually slightly different last night as it initially had four people up on stage - he performed for over an hour and he crammed so many gags and clever stuff in. He seems incredibly creative and I reckon he has a lot more up his sleeve (almost literally, rofl).
