Please do. My laser eye treatment was all good (seems to be screwing up now though, 4 years down the line) so I'm curious to hear about squeams ;)

Just posted in the new thread, but when my eyes are tired, or there's little ambient light, my eyesight gets very blurry. Not a massive problem, I can still drive (although I feel more comfortable driving with glasses at night now, prescription is -0.5L and -0.25R)

Oh, that's not good. Was intending on getting my peepers LAZOR BEEEEMED, but I'm a bit concerned about the long term effects and/or efficacy.

Oh, that's not good. Was intending on getting my peepers LAZOR BEEEEMED, but I'm a bit concerned about the long term effects and/or efficacy.

I spend 85% of my waking hours in front of two computer screens, so that might be having a detrimental effect on the longevity of the effects.

It's only a problem at night or when I'm especially tired too.

I'd heartily recommend it, even with the problems I'm having now. Especially with Ultralase, who have a lifetime care guarantee and will re-treat me for free.

It's not lack of long term efficacy of the treatment so much, as your eyes deteriorating on their own even though you've had the treatment. So if you're going shortsighted because of squinting at screens all day or whatever, that'll still happen after the treatment, but you'll be starting from a better point than if you hadn't had the treatment.

The treatment the missus is going for includes lifetime retreatments if your vision deteriorates in the future - though that's dependent on the suitability of your eyes. Nice thick corneas are a good thing, apparently.

right, I won't be showing that topic to steve
during our car accident he lost his glasses and spent over 24 hrs without (he really doesn't see much without them: "miki is that a bucket? I think I'm going to be sick")
so after that he's now seriously considering the surgery

The thing that prompted me into doing it, was driving down the M54 at 70mph (honest, officer!) and adjusting my glasses by pushing them up at the middle so they sat higher on my nose.

This made them fall apart and left me hurtling down a motorway unable to see past the windscreen.

He's well chuffed, harder for him too, 3 times as many pupils at his`school, compared to mine. He's playing left back rather than full back (where I played, tho I think he's built more like a center back).

What do you do, Bobby? I've begun to suspect you are our own Barney Stinson, an "international business man" on a "very important international business trip".

Please.

It's the most convincing explanation for Bobby I've yet come up with. I discarded "secret agent" after seeing that photo of him with the fire at the beexbeeque (I could have seen it live had I not passed out in my car at 10pm). Other theories were "a young Kevin Spacey who has come forward in time to defend us from aliens", and "Curio from another dimension".

Switzerland aren't actually neutral, they just hate every single other country equally, which gives the appearance of neutrality.

Just back from Ivybridge Rugby Club's annual fireworks display (which is a lot, lot better than it sounds, like they go to a lot of effort, and thousands of people turn up and pay the £3 it costs to get in) with the kids and it was excellent.

Now, do we go to the Lee Mill one tomorow as that one's free?

All-star. It's a food factory apparently. But good old nepotism(sp?) strikes again. The guy hiring is one of the waitresses at where I work now's husband.

The training manager from the company I'm freelancing for called me today, to discuss the feedback form I returned after my induction course. We had a nice chat and I mentioned that I'd been a training officer for over 7 years in the past, at which point he asked me if I'd like to be considered for trainer opportunities with them, as they need more regional trainers and are revamping their induction course. It's a while since I did that kind of work but you never really lose the skills, once acquired, so it looks like this job may well get more interesting and lucrative than originally envisaged.
