I've bought plenty of things from Shopto and never had that problem (although i typically buy the cards when they are down to the £15 mark , or when i buy a new game that requires you to buy points at the same time e.g. I expect to be buying 2100 points from Tesco to get whatever their COD offer is next week)

It sucks, doesn't it? Mrs K and first born got it four years ago, and it was minging. They then infected Mrs K's folks and mine, among others. I think I was the only person we know who didn't get it. I never get stomach bugs, which is weird as I spew at the drop of a hat usually.

Back from a stroll round town and it looks like Gamestation are training up staff for Christmas. Despite there being no queue, it took them longer to serve me than it took to pick out seven games to buy (£11 all in.. last of the big spenders!). Still, at least I've finally caved in and got a reward card so they can at least stop asking me that now.

Cash Converters have an 80gb PS3, cheap 15" telly and a £15 game for £170 which is the first time I've been tempted to get one. I think I'll hold out a bit longer though.

Not long after I started seeing the Appletart, we went for a drink in Victoria, and as we were sat in the pub, my ex from Birmingham walked into the same pub, purely coincidentally. That was a freaky coincidence.

Then, since we have been together, we have been to Glastonbury together 3 times, and have knowingly camped within 100 yards of where my ex would certainly have been camping for the same 5 day period, but only seen her once (and that was only realising after the event) and then, at completely the other side of the site.

Woke up out of a doze convinced I'd been sleeping ages. Nope, fifteen minutes. And I woke because I needed to be sick again. My mums just rang me from Cardiff. They stayed with me this weekend and my dad has just called her from work to say he is beginning to feel a bit sick.
I might need to barricade the bedroom door to stop Jen getting this, she has two days off after tomorrow.

I did actually wonder earlier if I have some sort of zombie plague because I keep being sick and having to drink water to stop it hurting so much when I'm sick and my stomach is empty. So maybe my stomach is trying to digest my organs at which point ill start spewing blood and eating people.
If I do, end me quickly please x

OK, well let us know.

PS - take very small sips of water every couple of minute or so. A normal gulp of water seems to agitate the stomach and makes you spew again. But it's important to drink lots!

Ah, whatever I've got is nothing like as bad as what poor Gilly has. Possibly just food poisoning, I guess. My body was making a concerted effort to relive me of the contents of my stomach via whichever route seemed quicker most of last night, I then proceeded to have a night of bizarre and frustrating dreams, now I've spent the vast majority of the day sleeping with a dreadful headache, but I haven't been sick again.

I probably posed for at least 50 or so photos with assorted nerds at the MCM Expo yesterday, so I guess it's possible I've caught something from one of them. Slightly worryingly, my girlfriend just phoned me up to say she was getting a pretty bad headache - we did spend all yesterday and all night together. Hope she's okay, she's stuck up in Derby on a training course at the moment.

:this: & salty, sugary water (poor man's isotonic sports drink) is easier to keep down too.

EDIT: A pint of half-apple juice & half-water works well too.

Zio that sounds like what most of my family have, I just seem to have caught a particularly bad case of it. I had to abandon my shower halfway through this morning to be sick and then sat for about 45 minutes on the bathroom floor wet from the shower and half heartedly wrapped in a towel. I'm still being sick now, although there appears to be a longer time between each episode now. I can't get comfy in bed at all either, if I lie on my side or stomach it makes me feel too sick.
Oh, and Jen just phoned me. She's been sent home from work ill :(

Yes, KITT.

I would have loved to take a photo but sadly it was too dark for my flash-less camera to work, and secondly you were warned on the door that taking photos in the venue would result in your phone being taken off you and the offending image deleted 8)

MrsA called me racist as I've hard boiled several eggs, and purchased apples and satsumas to give to the beggers later as they clearly suffer from some kind of ailment of the north. She's wrong, so I've given her an apple. And sent her to the launderette, which is a shop with no employees, only machines that whir whilst the people sit in silence.

gilly, as an expert in hurling, I recommend gaviscon. it swells up in the stomach so you only need swig a little to feel fuller, and is nice and slidey should it make a reappearance.

We don't have any gaviscon liquid :( Jen is home from work now and also being sick, but she's a lot less worse than I have been. My stomach is still trying to be sick but the rest of my body has obviously had enough (after about 12 hours) so its just the sick feeling and reflex now. I have never had a sick bug like this, I really hope none of you get it if its going around!

I would honestly have much rather gone to work than been holed up in bed like this, but thank God I'm nothing like as bad as Gilly! I'm not good with the whole 'being sick' thing, if I was caught behind enemy lines and tortured by being forced to vomit, my captors would have me singing like a canary in 3 spews!

My friends have set up an on-line store selling modern clothing with vintage style. It's good stuff, and they've got a good eye for that sort of thing. It all went live this evening, and I hope you'll pop over and have a look-see at what they've got to sell: full dresses, fitted dresses, mini dresses, skirts, lingerie and accessories. You'll find it all at http://www.vintagetwists.co.uk and there's a discount code in Vintage Life magazine as well.

I just plugged my phone into the computer and the 'device connected' chirp synchronised exactly with the hooter on a big ship on the river.
